4.1. Design Data: Chapter 4: Thermodynamic Properties

This chapter presents essential physical and thermodynamic properties of substances needed for mass and heat balance calculations and equipment dimensioning in design work. Table X shows the physical properties like boiling point, melting point, liquid density, and viscosity of pure components involved. Table Y gives thermodynamic properties such as critical temperature, critical pressure, heat capacity, and heat of formation. Toxicity data like minimum allowable concentration and LD50 values are also specified for safety.

CHAPTER 4: THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES

4.1. Design Data

The design work requires mass and heat balance calculations as well as equipment dimension calculations in which specific
data are needed. In this chapter, essential physical and thermodynamic properties of the substances needed are presented.
The toxicity data, namely the minimum allowable concentration (MAC) and LD 50 are also be specified for health and safety
purposes of the material handlers. Presented in Table X and X are the physical and thermodynamic properties, respectively.
