POSTHARVEST DEVELOPMENT AND MECHANIZATION THRU THE RICE
COMPETITIVENESS ENHANCEMENT FUND - MECHANIZATION COMPONENT
BOARD RESOLUTION No. 6

WHEREAS, the MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE AND LIVESTOCK FARMERS


ASSOCIATION with address at BARANGAY MAPALAD STA. ROSA NUEVA ECIJA realizes that
having control over all aspects of the palay and rice industry is the only way to advance for
agricultural development;

WHEREAS, to improve its productivity and save postharvest losses, the MOUNTAINSIDE, RICE,
VEGETABLE, AND LIVESTOCK FARMERS ASSOCIATION needed to acquire basic production
and postharvest facilities such as:

ASSOCIATION has a total of _______ hectares of irrigated and 279.5 hectares of non-irrigated rice
land of members;
WHEREAS, the MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE, AND LIVESTOCK FARMERS
ASSOCIATION has 105 farmer-members that will be directly benefit under the project and has
access to the services of expert personnel to manage and operate the said machinery/facilities;
WHEREAS, the proposed location of the project is bounded by rice area with following details:
Nearby Barangays Estimated Rice Area
BARANGAY MAPALAD 232.00 HA.
BARANGAY MALACAÑANG 156.00 HA.
BARANGAY LIWAWAY 496.50 HA.
WHEREAS, the MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE, AND LIVESTOCK FARMERS
ASSOCIATION has the access in availing/hiring/assigning the following personnel:

b) Bookkeeper :Name: REYNALDO M. TUATES : CP Number 09092094086
c) Mechanic: Name: MIGUEL C. PALARCA : CP Number ___________

WHEREAS, the MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE, AND LIVESTOCK FARMERS


ASSOCIATION_ has machinery shed as counterpart for the project with an area of 700 sqm

WHEREAS, the MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE, AND LIVESTOCK FARMERS


ASSOCIATIOS has available cash for the revolving fund/initial operating cost amounting to:
Php 30,000.00

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of CARLITO D. LIWANAG and duly seconded by POLICARPIO


M DELA ROSA , it is hereby RESOLVED that the MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE AND
LIVESTOCK FARMERS ASSOCIATION is requesting assistance from PHILIPPINE CENTER FOR
POSTHARVEST DEVELOPMENT AND MECHANIZATION for the acquisition of the above
requested technologies.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that Mr. MANOLITO S. MANANQUIL Chairman/Head of the


MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE AND LIVESTOCK FARMERS ASSOCIATION, shall be
designated as the authorized representative to transact with the DA-PHILMECH and/or sign
documents for and in behalf of the MOUNTAINSIDE RICE, VEGETABLE, AND LIVESTOCK
FARMERS ASSOCIATION with respect to the requested assistance, with his/her three (3)
specimen signatures shown below this resolution.

APPROVED, this 15TH day of October, 2019 in BARANGAY MAPALAD STA. ROSA, NUEVA
ECIJA.
