Notice:

Location: Cox's Bazar Position Grade: UNOPS, LICA 5

Organizational Context

The incumbent will work under the directsupervision of a Senior Officer and the technical supervision
incumbent may play a supervisory rolein overlooking the day-to-day activities of the Telecom operator
relationships with UNHCRstaff members in the office and other offices within the country of assignme
partners within the zoneof operation to exchange information and to provide assistance.

Responsibilities

Accountability
-ITand Telecoms incidents are resolved.

-Therequired/requested technical support is provided in a professional manner.

- The network (LAN)is properly maintained.

Responsibility

- Assist the office inimplementing set standards for applications that meets the needs of the users
Technology.

- Monitor and maintain the LAN, Network Servers, Routers, Printers, LAN Points, Switches, Pa
relay stations, Satellite Modem�to prevent faults occurring.

- Carry out missions fornew installations and routine maintenance tours of ICT equipments.

- Ensure that ICT problemrecovery is done as quickly as possible and make regular system back

- Assist with theinstallation of the software packages, basic repair/maintenance of computerhard

- Train UNHCR staff onemail system, utilization of VHF handhelds, telephone system.

- Add and remove users fromthe Networks.

- Maintain the inventory ofICT equipment and keep track of movements of ICT equipment.

- Draft mails and memorandaon ICT matters.

- Assist in the drafting oftechnical documentation on radio equipment operating procedures

- Certify invoices anddelivery notes and pass for payment.

- Evaluate needs forupgrading and eventually replacing ICT equipment in the field, to meet with

- Select the most efficientand economic means for the transmission of messages, taking into con
transmitted.

- Carry out administrativeduties, within the area of competence as assigned.

- Perform other duties as required.


Authority

- To decide on appropriate resolution to incidents

- Escalating incidents where they cannot beresolved at the office level

Minumum Qulification and Professional Experience Required

- Completion of Secondary school or equivalenttechnical school with training/certificate in Telecomm

- Minimum 5 years of previous relevantexperience in the ICT field;

- Fluency inEnglish and local language.
