ENGINE

This service bulletin provides instructions for inspecting the high pressure turbine nozzle guide vanes (NGVs) on certain Trent 1000 and Trent 7000 engine models. The inspection is intended to detect wear on the NGV flap seal assemblies that could lead to cooling air blockages and potential premature degradation or fracture of the NGV aerofoils. Engines are to be inspected initially between 950-1000 cycles and then every 250 cycles thereafter using a flexible borescope. The inspection report is to be returned to Rolls-Royce for review.
