I. OBJECTIVES:
A. Content Standards:
The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other text types serve as sources of
wisdom in expressing and resolving conflicts among individuals, groups and nature; also how to use evaluative
reading, listening and viewing strategies, special speeches for occasion, pronouns and structures of
modification.
B. Performance Standards:
The learner skilfully delivers a speech for a special occasion through utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal
strategies and ICT resources.
C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives:
EN10LC-IIIb-16.1 – Distinguish the important points from less important ones in a text listened to;
EN10VC-IIIb-23 – Share viewpoints based on the ideas presented in the materials viewed;
EN10VIIIb13.9 – Give expanded definitions of words
D. Specific Objectives:
Students are expected to:

1. Distinguish the important points from less important ones from the viewed documentary
video;
2. Understand and enhance the definition of the words given;

IV. Procedure:
A.Reviewing on Least Mastered skills:
The students are going to watch a short documentary filmed entitled: “Save our Planet”. Before watching the video

After watching the video, the students will have a group activity. Each group will list down the important
points from the less important ones by completing the table below. Give reason(s) why the chosen detail is

Each group will have a representative to present their work in front of the class. They will have 15 minutes to share

Let the students begin to watch the second video clip on Natural Hazards on Human. After watching the short video
the learners should be able do the task 2&3.
