The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) on 28th
January, 2020 across 104 Cities and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) on 28th January, 2019 across 107
Cities.
There were 245 Examination Centres across the country in CMAT and 180 Examination Centres across the
country in GPAT. A total number of 264 Observers, 99 City-Coordinators and 24 State Coordinators were deployed
at these centres to oversee the smooth and fair conduct of examination. The results of CMAT-2020 and GPAT-
2020 have been declared on 04.02.2020.
Both the Examinations were conducted on Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode and the details of both the
examinations are as follows:-
Highlights:
(a) CMAT -2020:
➢ National Testing Agency conducted CMAT-2020 for the second time. This was being conducted by
AICTE upto 2018.
➢ A National Merit Ranking (All India Rank) has been arrived based on the Marks secured against Total
Marks. In case total marks are same for more than one candidate, the ranking has been done on
sectional score considered in the order of :- Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation (QTDI),
Logical Reasoning (LR), Language Comprehension (LC), General Awareness(GA), Candidates having
less negative responses and Candidate older in age.
➢ The merit list indicates Roll number, Rank, NTA Score and the Marks obtained of all the candidates.
CMAT-2020 score is valid for the admissions of academic year 2020-21.
➢ The NTA scores of a Candidate have been calculated as follows:
100 X Number of candidates appeared in the examination with raw marks EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate
Total number of the candidates appeared
The NTA Score of the Total is NOT an aggregate or average of the NTA Score of individual subject.NTA
score is not the same as percentage of marks obtained.
➢ The admission authorities are advised to use score awarded to the students for allotment of seat in the
AICTE approved programs along with the other criteria that may exist, as applicable. Admission
authorities and institutions, however, will be free to take their own decision at the time of admission as
to what weightage they wish to give to a particular section.
➢ Mr Gopaljee Jha (Roll No JH0401101681) obtained 100.00 NTA Score and got Ist Rank.
Ms Kalisetty Udaya Sandhya LakshmiDevi (Roll No TL0101100945) obtained 99.9936806 NTA Score
and topped among female candidates.
Mr Tanuj Daga (Roll No MP0701100980) obtained 99.8862505 NTA Score and topped among Person
with Disability (PwD) candidates.
➢ The GPAT-2020 score will be valid for Three years from the date of announcement of the result for
admission in PG programme and for the purpose of applying for scholarship in M. Pharma course.
➢ The validity of the GPAT score card shall be for three years so that even after completing M. Pharma
degree, if someone is interested in getting registered for Ph. D. degree and availing National Doctoral
Scholarship, the same score will be applicable.
➢ A total of 4913* candidates (2237 Male and 2676 Female) qualified in GPAT-2020 for the purpose of
applying for scholarship. The Category wise Cut-off qualifying marks and No. of Candidates are as
follows:

➢ Mr Khan Omar (Roll No MR0402101811) obtained 100.00 NTA Score and got Ist Rank.
Ms Aastha Rohit (Roll No MP1202100231) obtained 99.9958644 NTA Score and topped among female
candidates.
Mr Sheikh Shahid Ayubsab (Roll No MR0402100023) obtained 99.1873449 NTA Score and topped
among Person with Disability (PwD) candidates.
