Subject: NTA Declares the re sul t/ NTA Scores for the Common
Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2024-reg.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the Ministry of
Education with the task of conducting the Common Management Admission Test
(CMAT) w.e.f 2019. Till 2018, the Test was conducted by All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE). The Common Management Admission Test
(CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to management
programmes in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE Affiliated/ Participating
Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management
Courses in their Institutions.
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) -2024 Examination was
conducted by the National Testing Agency on 15th May 2024 in 02 Shifts in 107
Cites at 186 Exam Centres in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. A total of 76745
candidates registered and 65127 candidates appeared in the examination.
A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the
Examination on the ground. 13 Regional Coordinators, 14 Zonal Coordinators, 107 City
Coordinators, 107 Observers were deployed.
Live CCTV Surveillance was planned in all examination centres to curb malpractices in the
examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live viewing of remote locations of all
examination centres from the Control Room located in the NTA premises of New Delhi.
Recording of CCTV Systems was also done.
The examination centres were also monitored using AI-based Video Analytics and Virtual
Observers.
In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres
to prevent unfair practices by the candidates during the examination through mobile or any
The NTA took various steps to ensure candidates were facilitated at every stage of the examination.
The first time, the following initiatives were taken by the NTA for the smooth conduct of the
examination:
Dates for the CMAT - 2024 were announced at an early date.
Test centre allotment was done in such a way that candidates got centres near their present
or permanent address.
Biometrics Authentication was done at all examination Centres.
If a candidate went for bio-break /toilet, he/she was asked to undergo the mandatory frisking
and biometrics again.
The PwD candidates were allotted to a PwD-friendly test Centre and extra organizational
support was given to those candidates.
In order to make the system transparent, the Candidates were given an opportunity to see their
Question Paper with recorded/marked responses and to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys
from 23 May to 25 May 2024. Challenges received online were placed before the concerned
Subject Experts for verification. The result was prepared based on the Final Answer Keys and the
same has been declared on the website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/
