My affinity towards embedded systems and automated machine further grew when i was inspired by my
acquaintance staying next-door. He successfully built a HUMANOID ROBOT. I often visited his place and observed
him accomplishing his passion. His technical competency and continuous desire to learn further instilled in me a
progressive liking for this domain which interpolated when I started exploring the concepts behind the functioning of
these systems. And although my insight has steadily grown towards it, to further strengthen my capabilities and
make an efficacious career within this field, I find automated systems to be the perfect mixture of hardware and
software. The interaction between a processor manipulating data from a variety of sensors to control a system is
incredibly fascinating to me. I hope to pursue the degree of Master of INFORMATICS with a specialization in
embedded systems from your revered university. I believe that your university offers the flexibility for a rapidly
changing industry and a rigorous curriculum which will not compromise my development. All the research facilities
along with your faculty are exceptional. The courses of Electronic Design Automation, Robotics along with other core
and elective modules will not only boost my existing perception of these concepts but also enhance their practicality.
I have had modest beginnings in a middle-class family but my parents made sure that I get the nutrition,
education and the love I deserved. Quality education and academic excellence was greatly respected and I always
strived to satisfy the expectations I was endowed with. I aced my Grade 10 with 94.18% and Grade 12 with 81.08%,
both of which were within the top 2% of my State .Soon I got hold of the technological diversity and my affection for
engineering got more tenacious. The areas of rehabilitation robotics and prosthetics are particularly interesting, not
only because the engineering aspect of the research is challenging and intriguing, but also because the outcome of
the research has the potential to change the lives of amputees, stroke victims, or other rehabilitation patients. I have
always felt a strong need to use my knowledge and skills to help others, and to make contributions to society that
improve the quality of life for its members. Without a doubt, I opted to pursue an undergraduate degree of
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. I was contented by studying some interesting courses where
Electronic Devices, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers and Digital Signal and Image Processing are still cherished.
I ranked 1st in my department during my Second Year and 2nd during the Third Year Engineering with an average
CGPA of 9.70 and 9.52 respectively and while being introduced to almost 34 distinct courses till semester VI. Not
only the academics but also the projects were the main reason behind my desire to continue into this domain.
The decisive moment of my undergraduate time was my selection in the national level project competition
called ‘Smart India Hackathon 2017’ (SIH2017) where problem statements were released by different Ministries of
India for team of 6 students out of 140 students from the EXTC department. We worked on a project for the
MINISTRY OF ATOMIC ENERGY under the problem statement “Machine Learning Based Control Strategy for Plant
Status and Monitoring and Detection of Normal Conditions”. It was due to this project that got me into a new
concept called “Machine Learning”. After submitting the proposal we were selected for the finale of this
competition. Though after 36 hours of non-stop coding we did not win, but being impressed by our work we were
offered an internship at BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Center) where we were able to practically implement our
work. We were also given an opportunity to develop a face recognition system for security purpose based on
machine learning for control room applications. These projects have helped me to select a domain for my senior year
project. Our team has also published a paper named ‘Multi Input Multi Output’ based on machine learning in
springer journals under the domain “ADVANCED NETWORKING AND INFORMATICS”. So, under the guidance of my
principal, I chose a partially interdisciplinary topic on- ‘A Classification Model for Breast Cancer Detection’ where
standard datasets Breast Cancer Mammograms. Image segmentation was carried out using MATLAB to extract the
Region of Interest (ROI) and the attained features were classified using Python
Increased contingencies to lead the projects throughout my curriculum intrigued me to use various
technologies in real life. During the 7th semester, I along with 3 more classmates participated and qualified for the
second level of the “E-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC 2017)” organized by IIT BOMBAY. Here we had to design a
CHASER DRONE using the ROS (ROBOT OPERATING SYSTEM) for the improvements in the field of agriculture Other
projects at the institution level included ‘Motion based message conveyer for the disabled ‘ using accelerometer and
rf based transmitter and receiver using ARDUINO. Apart from that, my knowledge of assembly language for
microprocessors 8085 and 8086 is still fresh and sparkling.
