Masters in Embedded Systems at Technische Universität Chemnitz

Letter of Motivation

Dear Sir,

In this statement, I present my intent of applying to the Master’s program in “Embedded Systems” at “Technische
Universität Chemnitz” for the WiSe 2023/24 Semester as an Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduate. This
program is a solid step forwards my future career as an engineer who understand and appreciates science and
technology. “Technische Universität Chemnitz” offers the flexibility needed for such a vast and rapidly changing field.
My career goal is to become a qualified engineer in the field of “Embedded Systems”. I believe, the most ideal way to
accomplish this goal is to pursue a Master's degree in this field, where I will learn theoretical knowledge and acquire
advanced techniques, which will help me in future to use engineering tools to design solutions to advance embedded
system, design processing and communication challenges in scientific and technological fields.

I am highly interested in the field of “Embedded Systems” especially in Design in software embedded systems, Real-
time systems, Video and digital signal Processing, Antennas and Wave Propagation and Image processing and pattern
recognition. During my undergraduate study, I have taken some elective courses related to these field, which gave me a
clear idea about this field. In order to increase empirical, knowledge about these filed, I did several projects also. I did a
thesis on “Ingestible Antenna at Inner-Wall of Capsule for Capsule Endoscopy” in my final year, which is already
published in February 2019 in an IEEE conference. The main theme of my final year thesis was to design a microstrip
patch antenna which should be very small in size and can operate within the MICS band with an omnidirectional
radiation pattern and which can be placed on the inner wall of a capsule that is suitable for capsule endoscopy. During
my undergraduate study, I undertook the task of redesigning a popular mobile app called "Travel Planner." The
objective was to create a more intuitive and visually appealing user interface (UI) that enhances the overall user
experience (UX) and addresses pain points reported by existing users. I also volunteered as IT and Social Media
Coordinator at AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) where my project was involved managing and
overseeing the social media presence of my organization. Besides those, I also completed some other projects such as
home automation with google voice assistance and IFTTT Server and Designing of a part of Arithmetic Logic Unit
(ALU) during my undergraduate studies. My undergraduate studies at American International University-Bangladesh
not only gave me a certain skill set but also made me to further explore my field of interest in embedded systems and
hone my academic strengths. Now I am working as Service Engineer at DataPro Solutions where I am dealing with
installation, troubleshooting, maintenance of embedded systems in working fields and so on. Especially, embedded
systems can give me knowledge-based development of multimedia information and communication design methods,
the applications of these systems to solve specific problems and the social context of these development and application
processes. Therefore, all of the circumstances mentioned above influenced me to involve myself in a higher study in the
field of antenna design in embedded systems and consequently, have found that “Embedded systems” program is
suitable for me.

Therefore, I want to do a Masters in your reputed university as your university has renowned faculties in the field I
want to study as well as state of the art laboratory facilities in the world, which I think I will utilize to the full extent for
my researches, if I am given a chance. I also hope to pursue my Doctorate of philosophy degree after the completion of
my Master’s program at your esteemed university which will also tighten my strength in research so that I can be
successful in my future life as a teacher as well as a researcher and I will be able to serve my country to develop its
Embedded systems infrastructure with all my knowledge and experiences after receiving the highly esteemed Masters
and PhD. degree from Technische Universität Chemnitz.

In conclusion, I would like to mention, my aim is to serve the world by serving my nation. In this era of mutual
cooperation, a developed country has the potentiality to help others. Therefore, endeavoring for my country is a way to
endeavoring for the world. It is the main inspiration to take my higher study, and in this case, I think that the
technological knowledge and excellent education system of the Master’s program will help me in the pursuit of my life
completely.
