Grade Slab Details

This document contains general notes and specifications for a reinforced concrete warehouse building, including: 1. All dimensions are in mm unless specified otherwise. Written dimensions take precedence over scaled drawings. 2. Concrete grade is M-25 unless noted otherwise. Deformed reinforcing bars conforming to IS 1786 with minimum 14.5% elongation will be used. 3. Concrete cover requirements are specified for different structural elements. Laps and development lengths for reinforcement are a minimum of 50 bar diameters. 4. The building is designed for future expansion to G+1+1 floors and an overhead water tank. Notes provide reinforcement detailing requirements for columns, joints, and construction joints.

General Notes:

1. ALL DIMENSIONS ARE IN MM UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.


2. ONLY WRITTEN DIMENSIONS ARE TO BE FOLLOWED NEITHER
THE BARS SHALL BE COUNTED NOR THE DIMENSIONS
SCALED FROM THE DRAWING.
3. GRIDS ARE CENTER ALIGNED WITH RESPECTED TO COLUMNS
OTHERWISE MENTIONED.
4. ANY DISCREPANCY IN THE ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL
DRAWING SHALL BE INTIMATED TO THIS OFFICE AND GOT
RECONCILED BEFORE EXECUTION.
5. ALL R.C.C. WORK SHALL BE IN M-25 GRADE MIX.
UNLESS OTHERWISE MENTIONED.
6. Fe-500D HIGH STRNGTH DEFORMED BARS OR TMT HAVING
ELONGATION MORE THAN 14.5 % CONFIRMING TO I.S.-1786 .1985
SHALL BE USED IN ALL RCC WORK.
7. REINFORCEMENT SHALL HAVE CONCRETE COVER (EXCLUSIVE
OF PLASTER OR OTHER DECORATIVE FINISH) AS FOLLOWS:-
AND AS PER I.S. CODE PROVISION
A) RAFT FOUNDATION = 75 mm
B) FOOTING =50MM
C) COLUMN=40MM (FOR OUTER FACE OF LATERAL TIES)
D) BEAM = 30mm
E) SLAB = 20mm
8. LAP / DEVELOPMENT LENGTH FOR ALL REINF. BARS, SHALL
BE 50 x DIA OF THE BARS FOR M25 MIX OF CONC. LAPS
SHALL BE STAGGERED AND AVOIDED AT THE POINT OF
MAXIMUM BENDING MOMENT.
9. BUILDING HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR G+1+1 FLOOR FUTURE
EXPANSION. AND RCC OVERHEAD TANK OVER MUMTY
10. NOT MORE THAN 50% OF TOTAL COL. BARS SHALL BE LAPPED
AT ANY SECTION OF COLUMN. LAPS SHALL BE STAGGERED AND
AVOIDED AT THE PLACES OF MAX. STRESS. A LAP SHALL BE
CONSIDERED STAGGERED IF THE CENTRE TO CENTRE DISTANCE
OF THE LAP IS NOT LESS THAN 1.3 TIMES .THE DEVELOPMENT
LENGTH AS MENTIONED IN NOTE NO. (8).
11. COLUMNS COINCISIDING WITH RCC WALL AT PERIPHERY SHOULD
HAVE STIRRUPS SPACING @100 C/C UPTO GR. FL. LVL.
12. THE SPACING OF TIES WITH IN THE JOINTS AND ON EITHERSIDE
OF JOINTS UP TO A DISTANCE OF 600 MM SHALL BE 100MM
13. THE SPLICING OF LONGITUDINAL BARS IN COLUMN SHALL BE
DONE IN MIDDLE HALF OF COLUMN LENGHT.
14. THE MINIMUM LENGTH OF SPLICE IS 1000 MM IN THE ZONE OF
SPLICING. THE STRIRRUP SPACING SHALL NOT EXCEED 150MM
15. THE DETAILING OF REINFORCEMENT IN JOINTS SHOULD BE
STRICTLY AS THE DETAILS OF JOINTS MADE AVAILABLE
SEPERATELY
16. BEARING CAPACITY OF SOIL HAS BEEN TAKEN AS 9.5 T/M2.
AT 2M DEPTH FROM N.G.L. IF SOIL IS FOUND DIFFERENT AT
SITE, THE FOOTING NEEDS TO BE REDESIGNED.

NOTES FOR CONSTRUCTION JOINTS


1. DURING CASTING OF BEAM IF THE WORK IS STOPPED FOR A
DURATION LONGER THAN INITIAL SETTING TIME OF CEMENT,
THEN SUCH DISCONTINUITY SHALL BE TREATED AS
CONSTRUCTION JOINTS SPECIFICATION .

2. CONSTRUCTION JOINT SHALL BE MADE VERTICAL BY PROPER


TEMPLATE WITH SLOTS FOR ACCOMMODATING REINFT. BARS.
THE JOINT SHALL BE TREATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH C.P.W.D.
3. CONSTRUCTION JOINT SHALL BE PLANNED AT .35L FROM THE FACE
OF THE SUPPORT WHERE 'L' IS THE CLEAR SPAN OF SLAB/BEAM
