➢ Microsoft HoloLens is a smart glass which is the first cordless, self
contained holographic computer running on Windows 10.

➢ HoloLens undergoes AR technology through lenses.

enabling high definition holograms to integrate with your world.

What is Holograms?
➢A Three Dimensional image formed by
the interference of light beams from a
laser or other light source.

➢A Hologram is a physical Structure that


diffracts light into image.

difference instead of being made of
physical matter, a hologram is made
entirely of light.
What is Augmented and Virtual reality
➢Virtual Reality: It tricks your eyes into thinking that you are

Reality since it can show the real world around wearer with
graphic overlaid.

vision that spans 120 by 120 degree, so it can sense what
your hands are doing even when they are nearly
outstreched.

HPU(holographic processing unit).

➢ Computer: HoloLens is not just avisor connected to a


computer, it is a computer on its own.

➢ Sensor: Sensor track where the wearer is looking and


adjust the display.


➢ The Sensor can also see wearers hands, the handsare an
input system User can interact with whatever he sees
by just touching it.

➢ Wearer also give gesture as input sensor enables the


tracking of user movement.

➢ Vent: the device is more powerful than laptop but wont


overheat-warm air flows to the sides, where its vents up
and out.

➢ Buttons: on the right side buttons allow user to adjust


the volume and to control the contrast of the hologram.

they are transparent so that wearer can see the real world
behind virtual object.

voice,gaze andgestures as input command.

hear holograms in the world around you.

➢The design of Microsoft HoloLens is fix.It cant be
adjustable.
➢Biggest problem with most AR technology is less focus
on virtual objects
How it is different from Google glass
➢HoloLens completely different from Google glass.Google
glass was design to perform the function of
smartphone.Like a phone it support Apps, take photos and
video so basically it’s a expensive version of handheld
device.

➢Google glass support virtual reality where user disconnect


with real world but in hololens user,see the real world
infront of them. They can walk around and talk to others
without worrying about bumping in to walls.
