Give 5 regions in the Philippines and their folk dances. Identify its place of origin, its type and give a short description. Follow the format below:

Region I- Ilocos Bayambang, Basuan Wedding dance is a lively and colorful dance Region Pangasinan it is often danced at weddings and fiestas. means "with the use of drinking glasses". refers to how the performers balance glasses on their heads and hands while gracefully dancing. Region V Bicol Pantomina Wedding dance according to Aquino, the dance was also called Salampati, during the Spanish occupation. was among the first folk dances to have its dance steps notated. this dance is traditionally performed during wedding festivities by the couple and their visitors. Region IV-B Mindoro Pandanggo sa Courtship dance playful folk dance that showcases a MIMAROPA Ilaw unique fusion of local and western indigenous dance forms. it is usually performed during festivities and special occasions. it simulates the light and flight of fireflies at dusk or dawn. it depicts the courtship of a young man to a maiden that captured his interest. Region IV-A Alitagtag, Subli Worship dance it is mainly danced in the month of May CALABARZON Batangas and during barrio fiestas, local annual festivities. is the dance portion of a devotion performed in honor of the Mahal na Poong Santa Cruz. it is a religious ritual composed of both songs and dances. this dance involves the use of dramatic movements. Region VIII- Waray, Samar Kuratsa Courtship dance it is a Filipino traditional dance where the Eastern Island male approaches and courts a lady in a Visayas form of dance. in Waray tradtion, a sarayaw or social dancing event is never complete without the kuratsa. is often performed on social occasions, stage play and weddings.
