Isom #9272 and I am a peace officer of the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. I, the affiant, have good reason and do belicve that on or about the 19th day of May, 20 20, ‘one (name of suspect) Christian Alejandro Morales did then and there in the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas commit the offense of Murder, a violation of Section 19.02 of the Texas Penal Code, a K/ Afflant’s belief is based upon the following facts and information which A ffiant received from: BX Affiant’s personal investigation of this alleged offense. » # fellow peace officer of the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, who personally participated in the investigation of this alleged offense, providing this information to Affiant, and whose information Affiant believes to be credible. On May 19, 2020, at 8:05 p.m., suspect Christian Alejandro Morales committed the Penal Code 19.02, F/1 against complainant Abigail Manriquez. This offense occ: Avenue Dallas, Texas. On May 19, 2020, suspect Christian Alejandro Morales drove to the residence of complainant Abigail Manriquez, who is the mother of his two children. Witness Jordan Manriquez stated that complainant A, Manriquez and suspect Morales began arguing, and suspect Morales wanted to take his juvenile daughter with him and leave the location. Witness J. Manriquez stated that suspect Morales pulled out a handgun and shot him and complainant A. Manriquez. Witness J. Manriquez, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital where he remains at this time. Complainant A. Mantiquez was shot and died at the location. Juvenile male witness stated that he observed suspect Morales and complainant A. Manriquez, arguing inside of the residence, and then saw suspect Morales shoot a gun at complainant A. Manriquez. The juvenile witness called 911 t0 report the shooting by suspect Morales, and went into a back bedroom with witness BEI and the other juveniles inside of the residence, Juvenile witness stated that after the shooting, suspect Morales began banging on the bedroom door. Dallas Police patrol officers arrived at the location, went to the side of the residence, and after removing a window sereen, were able to pull the juveniles and the witness out of the residence to safety. Witness| received 2 phone call from suspect Morales at 8:06 p.m., in which suspect Morales told witness [that he shot complainant A. Manriquez with a gu ‘Wines lif rove to the offense location and saw that police officers were already there. Witness EE provided patrol officer T. Wiggins #11187 with her cellular phone, and suspect Morales spoke to Officer Wiggins for close to 30 minutes. Officer Wiggins was attempting to have suspect Morales come out of the residence safely, and during the conversation, suspect Morales said that he was praying and that he would probably not go to heaven because he "just did a murder". Suspect Morales exited tc :ouse and was placed in handeuffS. Upon officers performing a terry frisk, a pistol was retrieved from suspect Morales' waistband area. Suspect Morales was placed under arrest and transported to Dallas PD Crimes Against Persons Division, Detective Andrea Isom #9272 read suspect Morales the Miranda warming and he waived his rights, consenting to an interview. Suspect Morales admitted that he went to the location and got into an argument with complainant Manriquez, Suspect Morales claimed that he pulled out his gun in self defense, because complainant Manriquez and witness J. Manriquez were walking towards him, but that neither J. Manriquez or A. Manriquez had any weapons from what he saw. Suspect Morales stated that complainant Manriquez kept making comments about how he would never see his kids again and explained that he could not take it anymore. Suspect Morales stated that he "blacked out” and that he shot his gun at witness J. Manriquez and then at complainant Manriquez. STATE OF TEXAS AFFIDAVIT FOR ARREST WARRANT.
