State the sampling technique that will best describe in each of the following. Justify your choice.

Case I : A certain company has 850 employees distributed into 4 departments namely 1) accounting, 2)
advertising and promotion, 3) production and 4) sales and marketing with population of 50, 200,
450 and 150 respectively. If you wish to determine the sample size, what technique would you
adopt?

Case II: You are inclined to study on the problems encountered by top 5 commercial banks in the
Philippines particularly on their assets. The respondents of the study are the rank and file which
relatively numbering for about 600. How would you choose the samples?

Case III: You are assigned to conduct study regarding causes of traffic along EDSA. How would you choose
the respondents to realize your study and what technique would be best adopted?

Case IV: You would be introducing a new product to the market. Initially, you would want to find out
whether such product be marketable to the consumers. What technique would you use and
why?
