METHOD STATEMENT
FOR W.F SUSPENDED PAVER EDGE DETAIL RECTIFICATION
Scope of Work :
This method statement describes the procedure for rectification of water feature edge detail
of suspended pavers as per design drawing provided by landscape consultant.
Equipments & Materials:
Chisel
Hammer
Polythene sheet
Sprit level
Grinders
Personal Protective Equipment:
The basic P.P.E will be provided as
Safety shoes
Safety Helmets
Hand Gloves
Goggles
Warning tape
Procedure
1. Ensure water feature system is in shutdown condition in all aspect.
2. Provide warning tape all around the working area
3. Existing suspended edge tile to be removed carefully and kept separately.
4. Ensure all static water inside water feature drains completely.
5. Provide all necessary Protection to pipe works inside water feature.

6. Marking will be established for Grinding cutting i.e 1 cm deep x 5 cm wide from the
top level of mortar and the length shall be 500 mm leaving 50 mm edge retrain for
paving support.
7. Ensure in all area from this level of cutting mark there is sufficient depth of 20 mm to
50 mm mortar thickness available over the existing water proofing (so that there is no
chance of damage to water proofing by performing this cutting)
8. Once the above point is ensured the cutting will be done on the marking carefully and
mortar will be removed with chisel in area as marked to get detail as per consultant
requirement.
9. The above step 2 to 8 will be followed on all the suspended paving area to achieve
the desired detail as per landscape consultant design.
10. Ensure all debris are completely removed and cart away to skip.
11. Once all procedure from step 2 to 9 is achieved carefully replace all the suspended
pavers in original position.
12. Ensure area all around water feature is clear.
Verification
1. Drain detail as per landscape consultant design.
Safety
A safety induction talk will be conducted prior to commencement of work.
Akar supervisor will be having regular visits to ensure the safe working
environment.
