The following set of guidelines can help students, teachers, and school staff to
become safe at school and also help prevent the spread of the disease.
2. REDUCE TRANSMISSION
Hand Hygiene. Perform regular and thorough handwashing with
soap and water ( at least 20 seconds)
Use alcohol ( 70% isopropyl) and/or alcohol-based sanitizers ( 60%
ethanol)
Reduce exposure of vulnerable individuals (e.g. senior citizens,
people with underlying health conditions) to prevent infection.
Environmental Hygiene. Maintaining the environment clean
especially those with touchpoints such as railings, staircases, light
switches and the like. (e.g. Disinfecting surfaces, objects, waste
management, proper disposal of infectious wastes)
Disinfection of tables, door knobs, desks, school items using 0.5%
bleach solution ( 100ml + 900 ml Water twice a day.)
Personnel and/or students are discouraged to share personal items
like pens/pencils, utensils etc. to prevent spread of the virus.
Placement of foot baths in all entrances ( 1:10 bleach solution= 1
liter bleach + 9 liters water)
3. REDUCE CONTACT
Physical/Social Distancing measures. Practice social distancing
( at least 3 feet/ 1 meter apart) in all communal areas.
Talking closely is highly discouraged in common areas.
