Q1. What does Human Resource Department do?


ANS: what human resource department do is as below:-

1. Recruit candidates: HR needs to understand the organization’s needs and make sure
those needs are met when recruiting for new positions. Recruiting is a massive and costly
undertaking; the right candidate can revitalize an entire organization, but the wrong candidate
can upend operations.

2. Hire the right employees: Human resources is in charge of arranging interviews,


coordinating hiring efforts, and on-boarding new employees. They’re also in charge of
making sure all paperwork involved with hiring someone is filled out and making sure that
everything from the first day to each subsequent day is navigated successfully.

3. Conduct disciplinary actions: This responsibility may be why HR tends to get a bad
rap. When navigated inappropriately, disciplinary actions can lead to the loss of a valuable
employee and can even result in litigation or a poor reputation. But when handled
appropriately, disciplinary action can result in the success of an employee.

4. Update policies: Policies need to be updated every year as the organization changes. It’s
HR’s job to make official updates to policies and to suggest changes to policies when they no
longer serve the company or the employees. Sometimes a policy should be updated as a
reaction to an occurrence. HR should always be included in and consulted with regarding
these decisions.

5. Maintain employee records: Maintaining HR records is mandated by law. These


records help employers identify skill gaps to help with the hiring process and to analyze
demographic data and comply with regulations. They also contain personal details and
emergency contacts for each employee.

Q2.Outline the objectives of Human Resource Management in an


organization?
ANS: The objective of the human resource department in an organization as as
below:

Societal Objectives: To be ethically and socially responsible to the needs and challenges
of the while minimizing the negative impact of such demands upon the organization. The
failure of organizations to use their resources for the society’s benefit in ethical ways may
lead to restrictions.
Organizational objectives: To recognize the role of HRM in bringing about
organizational effectiveness. HRM is not an end in itself. It is only a means to assist the
organization with its primary objectives. Simply stated, the department exists to serve the rest
of the organization.

Functional Objectives: To maintain the department’s contribution at a level appropriate to


the organization’s needs. Resources are wasted when HRM is either more or less
sophisticated to suit the organization’s demand. The department’s level of service must be
tailored to fit the organization it serves.                 

Personal objectives: To assist an employee in achieving their personal goals, at least


insofar as these goals enhance the individual’s contribution to the organization. Personal
objectives of employees must be met if workers are to be maintained, retained and motivated.
Otherwise, employee performance and satisfaction may decline and employees may leave the
organization.

HRM Function: In order to realize the objective stated above, HRM must perform certain
functions. These functions have been stated while outlining the scope of HRM.  Generally, it
may be stated that there is a correlation between the objectives and the functions. In other
words, some functions help to realize specific objectives.

Q3. Outline the main objectives of recruitment process in an


organization?

ANS: In the human resource management department, Recruitment is the way of finding
and employing the best and most qualified candidates for an employment opportunity, in an
auspicious and cost-effective way. Their main task is to meet the human resource
requirements, in the meantime serving the job seekers as they have submitted their
application documents.
There are many objectives of the recruitment process which are;
 Attract in and engage a consistently expanding number of candidates to apply in the
company.
 Develop a positive impression of the recruitment procedure.
 Build candidates with a good ability to empower the choice for the company.
 Increasing the set of employment applicants at a very low expense.
 Deciding the Current and future terms of the company with the new candidates and
job inquiry exercises.
 The final step is to start identifying and adapting to capable applicants who will be
suitable for a specific job.

Q4. What is the difference between training and development?

ANS: Difference between training and development is as below:

Difference # Training:
1. Nature – Training is concerned with increasing the skills for doing a particular job.

2. Level of Personnel – Training is used in relation to operative employees.

3. Orientation – Training is job-oriented.

4. Duration – Training is short-term in nature.

5. Initiative – Training is imparted to operative workers at the initiative of management.

6. Scope of Learning – The scope of learning is limited to the job only.

7. Depth of Knowledge – The knowledge gained relates to the job only.

Difference # Development:
1. Nature – Development is concerned with the growth of an employee in all respects.

2. Level of Personnel – Development is used in relation to executives, managers and


professionals.

3. Orientation – Development is career-oriented.

4. Duration – Development is long-term in nature.

5. Initiative – The executives take initiative in their own development.

6. Scope of Learning – The scope of learning is very wide. It pertains to overall development
of the employee.

7. Depth of Knowledge – The knowledge gained is all round and long-lasting.
