b. Evaluate current trends in media and information and how it will affect/how they affect individuals and

c. Predict future media innovation (MIL11/12CFT-IIIi-27)
d. Synthesize the overall knowledge about media and information with skills for producing a prototype of
what the learners think is a future media innovation. (MIL11/12CFT-IIIi-28)
Evaluation/Assessment:
1. In a ¼ sheet of paper, choose an application then cite its positive and negative power that affects
change.
2. In a ½ sheet of paper, write a reflection on a current trend that affects the individual and society.

A. Preliminaries (Daily Routine)

Day 1 - Opportunities, Challenges, and Power of Media and Information
i. Drill – Word of the day: Power: the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others
or the course of event
ii. Activity: Example giver
□ Proceed to their groupings.
□ In a group the students will be given a mini board where they will write their answers.
□ The students will only be labeling the given examples as pro and con.
 Research, socialization, information-guide,
 Copy-paste, influencer, flame wars, keyboard warriors,
iii. Analysis: Categorization of the examples given
Ask the following questions to the students:
□ Which of the following examples are categorized into one group?
□ How do you see the first group to the second group?
iv. Abstraction:
□ Give an example of Opportunities that media could offer. Each example will be presented through
situation. Then other student will be giving possible ways to use this in a real life situation.
□ Give an example of Challenges that media could have. Each example will be presented through
situation. Then other student will be giving a possible solution to solve the challenge that media had
offered.

□ Give an example of Opportunities that media could offer. Each example will be presented through
situation. Then other student will be giving possible ways to use this in a real life situation.
□ Give an example of Challenges that media could have. Each example will be presented through
situation. Then other student will be giving a possible solution to solve the challenge that media had
offered.
v. Application:
□ Formulate solution to cybercrimes.
vi. Integration:
□ Application in Real Life Situation: In life, there are always opportunities offered upon us. If it
knocked our door, how will we respond? On the other hand, challenges are also given unto us, how
do we respond to these?
□ JMC Institutional Core Values: Open opportunity. Life is full of surprises. All these
experiences we have should be openly accepted for it will help us in the future.
□ Lesson across Discipline: Entrepreneurship. In business, opportunities and challenges are
always there. It’s part of business that we have competitors. It’s part of business that we could have
many costumers. These things should be dealt accordingly because in every up there are downs. In
every challenge, there would be betterment soon.
Evaluation:
 In a ¼ sheet of paper, choose an application then cite its positive and negative power that affects
change.

Day 3 – Current and Future Trends of Media and Information


i. Drill – Word of the day: Trend - a general direction in which something is developing or changing
ii. Activity: Video playing
□ The students will be watching a video that shows the current and future trend of media and
information.
□ While they are watching, the students are asked to jot down notes with the examples that the video
had shown.
iii. Analysis: Video Analysis
Ask the following questions to the students:
□ What are the current and future trend examples that the video had shown?
□ Do these examples have similarities? Group if there is.
iv. Abstraction:
□ After categorization, explain and discuss these examples with the category it belong.

□ Identify a societal problem then predict its possible solution with the use of media innovation. Use
prototyping.

□ Identify a societal problem then predict its possible solution with the use of media innovation. Use
prototyping.
vi. Integration:
□ Application in Real Life Situation: In every situation and problem, there is a possible way to
solve it. Just like this innovation of possible future trend, it may help our future generation with the
demands and needs.
□ JMC Institutional Core Values: Reward, recognize merit, creativity, and innovation. These
prototypes that you have will be beneficial in the future. If you’ll have passion and endeavor in
making this innovation to become real, your innovation will not be alone famous but also your name.
And that serves as reward and recognition for your creativity and innovation.
□ Lesson across Discipline: Earth Sciences. These innovations may help the improvement of
science and technology.
