This document outlines a demonstration lesson plan on simple interest for 11th grade general mathematics students. [1] The lesson plan aims to teach students to calculate simple interest and solve related problems. [2] A variety of engaging activities are included, such as a "Plus-Minus Game" introduction and group work where students solve problems and teach other groups. [3] Formative assessments include a short quiz and "3-2-1 activity" exit card to evaluate student learning.

“2 STRAY, TEAM STAY “ Activity(10minutes)
Students will be divided into five groups.
Directions:
1. Each group will be given a problem to solve. After 5 minutes, 2 members of
each group will be going to another group to share their output.

2. You will be given 1 minute to explain your output. Wait for my go signal
before moving to the next group. For example, grp.1 will move to grp 2, grp 2
will move to grp 3…until you reached your original group.

3. Everyone should take notes and share each other what they leraned from
the other groups.
Math Problems:
P#1: Sarah deposits Php 4,000 at a bank at an interest rate of 4.5% per year.
How much interest will she earn at the end of 3 years?
P#2: How much interest is charged when 50,000.00 is borrowed for 6 months
at an annual interest rate of 10%?

P#3: Find the simple interest on a loan of 60,000.00.If the loan is given at a
rate of 20% and is due in 3 years?

P#4: Miko borrowed 25,000.00 at 10% interest rate. How much should he pay
after 3years and 6 months?
