Course Expectations and Rules

Read and Understand this document in its entirety

1. Please complete all assigned readings as per weekly class schedule


listed in the course syllabus. Do not rely on my power point notes as
sufficient for exam assignment taking.

2. Under Resources tab in OWL course site, I will post my power point
slides for each assigned chapter. These slides will be visible AFTER the
discussion post due date closes for that date.

3. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ALWAYS CHECK OWL. If you email me to ask a


question and the answer to that question can be found on OWL course
site (Announcements, Syllabus, Forums, Resources etc.), I will not
provide you with the answer. I will simply redirect you back to the
course site.

4. If you have specific questions about the course readings a concept or


term you aren’t understanding, there are 2 options: I will create an
open forum discussion board where you can post your question(s) and
your fellow students can respond. I will moderate this discussion board
and reply as well. Option 2: email me and we can set up a time for me
to call you to speak by phone.

5. It is your responsibility to complete the assignments and exams on


time. Internet connection difficulties, work schedules, childcare issues
or ‘forgetting’ a due date, are not grounds for missing. Late penalty is
5% per day. To avoid a late penalty, you must seek approval from your
academic advisor. In addition, if you miss any major assignment in this
course, you must notify me by email that you are not completing and if
you intend to seek academic accommodation. Notification must come
no later than the due date for the assignment.
