Objectives:
1. To create a strong foundation by studying the basics of Microprocessors and interfacing to various
peripherals
3. To develop skill in simple applications development with programming 8085 & 8051
Course Outcomes
3 To learn and understand concept of interfacing of peripheral devices and their applications
4 To learn the microcontroller architecture and usages of the instruction set of the representative
microcontrollers.
Course Contents
INTERFACING: Study on need, Architecture, configuration and interfacing with ICs: 8255, 8259, 8254,
8237, 8251, 8279 interfacing with 8086.
PIC MICROCONTROLLER: CPU Architecture – Instruction set – Addressing modes - interrupts- Timers- I2C
Interfacing – UART- A/D Converter –PWM and introduction to CCompilers.
