Phase I Building A

METHOD STATEMENT FOR TILLING

Can be divided in to following categories: -

 Toilet floor & wall


 Common area floors
 Roof top tilling

Toilet Floor & walls: -


After block work, piping, framework & waterproofing, toilets will be ready for the tile work
 Floor waterproofing covering motar will be done.
 Wall marking.
Under this 200mm finish tile off line will be marked over each corners of walls.
 Referring above line level gauges will be pasted over the top & bottom corners of the
walls and additional level gauges will be pasted places such as around door and window
frames and near vanity counters. The level gauge distance will be 200+tile
thickness+3mm from the 200mm off line.
 Pipe fore set & switch boxes will be adjusted according to the Level gauges
 Next tile bed will be plastered and it will be a rough plaster. Floor rendering will be
done according to the approved level by keeping clearance 3mm plus tile thickness and
slope it to the gully. The average slope will be 15mm and shower cubical area drop
down by 13mm.
 Tile line marking: -
Two vertical and horizontal tile line fore each wall and two cross line for floor
will be provided. On wall generally horizontal tile will be the tile top edge and it
will be closer to the finish floor level +1000mm level. The vertical tile line
almost closer to the wall center and right side down of the cross will be the
starting tile or starting tile will be marked particular side of the crossed. The each
and every tile line measurements will be taken from the main grid line of the
floor.
 After 3days curing & inspection corner beading will be fixed and wall tile first and

Secondly floor tile will be done. Next tiling and grouting will be done according to the
selected colour & type.

Common area: -
Almost same as toilet floor area and only difference is the there is no
slope in the floor.

Roof top tilling: -


All tile beds will be slope to the floor gullies and Selected tile groves will be matched
to the expansion joints provided in the concrete over waterproofing bed. Other
procedures are same as above.
