THESIS SYNOPSIS: CYBER HUB

INTRODUCTION
Bangalore is the IT capital of the country; over the years many companies have set
their headquarters here. A Cyber hub is where multiple companies are located on one
campus. The Cyber Hub not only includes office spaces but also commercial spaces
for restaurants and showrooms. This will help in keeping the space alive even during
night times when the offices are shut. The site is close to Whitefield and Electronic
City where most of the IT companies are set up in the city. So, a lot of IT employees
tend to stay around these areas to reduce travel time and cost. It’s an ideal place for
such companies set up their companies or open up more branches of their companies
for more business.

Bangalore being an IT hub this would be an ideal project to add to the value of the city
which would increase employment and give more opportunities to people around the
city. With this, it gives an opportunity to design an eye-pleasing landscaped outdoor
commercial area to attract customers.

AIM

The aim is to design a significant building which becomes a major landmark for people
to work at a more friendly and comfortable work with a lot of interaction or visit to have
a good evening in a beautiful space with great ambience and outdoor spaces.

OBJECTIVE

Understanding how commercial and corporate space can merge together to be used
as one whole space.

PROJECT INTEREST

Having a personal interest in office spaces and commercial space has led to this idea
of combining the two.
SCOPE

Understanding the strengths and weakness of commercial and corporate space to


combine them to develop a strong design which overcomes each other’s weakness.

LIMITATION

Merging spaces for multiple workspaces to become one space is a challenge because
there will be many companies of different backgrounds working in one space.
