General Notes for MS Tank

1. Please mention unit of pressure as Kg/Cm2 G or in Bar G.


2. All Distance to be Maintained w.r.t. Center Line/ Base Line/ t.l. of Equipment.
3. All Bolt Holes to Straddle the Principal Axis of Equipment
4. All Nozzles above DN 50 to be reinforced with pads. RF Pad Thickness to be calculated
by Vendor.
5. Nozzle Orientation Shall be Submitted Along with the Approval of Fabrication Drawing.
6. Lifting Lugs and Other Fittings to Have Pad Plates of Equal Thickness and Material as
Base.
7. Limpet required up to working volume level .Limpet coil shall be in 2 segment as per
sketch in drawing. Height of limpet shall be min. Please Provide 2 Segment Limpet coil
detail Dwg.
8. N1A and N1B shall be on Manhole.
N1A- Sight Glass
N1B- Light Glass
9. Manhole-cover with davit arm
10. All “J” type splash leg.
11. Liquid dip pipe (Ant siphon Holes) & except Baroleg in vacuum system.
12. Name plate should be screwed to bracket.
13. Hydro test as per ASME SCE VIII div -1 code
14. Welding Procedure: AS per ASME Sec. IX. & welding consumable: AS per ASME Sec. II.
Part “ C “
15. Fabrication Code as per ASME Section 8 Div 1
16. Dishend only 1 joint shall be provided as far as possible & shall be subjected to 100%
radiography
17. Ladder support cleat.
18. Platform support cleat.
19. Lifting Lug Hole center from Pad Plate is 100 mm. Vender to Provided Lifting Lugs as per
Good Engineering Practice.
20. Nozzle projection 200+100 MM for Dip and J pipe
21. All Equipment tailing lug total 4 Nos on Bottom Dishend.
22. Earthling Boss ( Total 4 Nos . 2 Nos on lug support and 2 Nos on bottom leg support)
23. All Flanges as per ANSI B 16.5 150# SORF.
24. Limpet coil: Half pipe 80S Seamless.
25. All nozzle DN50 and below shall have two Nos stiffened with 25 X 5 Thick. 90 degree
apart.
26. All nozzle fabricated from plate shall be 100% radiography of the longs seam joints
27. Bolts & nuts : SA 193 Grade B7 / SA 194 Grade 2H
28. Joint Efficiency Shell: 0.85 , Dish: 1.0, limpet side: 0.7
29. All Process side Nozzle covered with MS Blind and Utility Side nozzle covered with
Wooden Blank.
30. All Nozzles, Manhole Gasket PTFE Enveloped.
31. Surface finish: Smooth
32. Top Dishend & bottom Dishend are 10% Torrispherical.
33. Reinforcing pad can be fabricated in Maximum 2 Piece with 100% Radiography.
34. Stiffener Plate required for More Than 32Kl Tank
35. Insulation Cleat shall be
 Long -50mm
 Width-40mm
 Thickness-10mm
36. Radiography
 Shell - 10% randomly & all T Joint 100%
 Limpet – 20 %
 Dished – 100%
37. Documentation:
1. 3 Set of Design Calculation Copy for Approval.
2. 3 Sets of Fabrication Drawing for Approval.
3. 3 Sets of Fabrication Drawing for each Revision.
4. 2 Sets of Final as Built Drawing with all test Certificates & Manufacturing Reports
duly Filled.
5. Soft Copy of All Documents in Editable Format at each Stage of Submission.
38. For CS painting:
 Surface : Shot blasting
 Primer : Epilux 610 one coat –DFT 50 micron-Grey
 Intermediate : Epilux 155 High Build MIO One coat 110-125 micron
 Final: Epilux 4 chemical resistance enamel -2 coat, 50 micron-Shed RAL-5002 ( Blue)
