Procedure for creating notepad file for SCS-1X

1. Delete all the previous day files in the circulation folder in desktop, C:\temp and
in C:\MM\SCS1_01 folders.
2. Open Messaging in portal and open the mail received from Vizag circulation.
3. Open the .dbf files received as attachments and select “save as” command in File
menu. Save the file with the respective edition name in file name area and text
(tab delimited) in type area in the circulation folder in desktop.
4. Open SCS_1X.exe in desktop .Type the respective edition name in the space
“Name of user data”, change the edition date to the next day’s date and ejection
direction to 1.
5. Then click agent details tab. Click the folder symbol next “select input file name:”
.A window showing C: will open, in that window select Desktop \circulation
folder. In the circulation folder select the edition text file and click “open”. The
file will be selected.
6. Click “Imp” button. The column headings of the selected text file will be
displayed in the box with scroll keys. Select the heading “transport” and double
click it. It will be moved to “Sort by” box.
7. Then click “create output” button. The total number of copies and the message
C:\temp\edition name.001 file created successfully will be displayed.
8. After all edition notepad files are created in c:\temp folder, copy all the note pad
files and past them in C:\MM\SCS1_01 folder.
9. Open individual notepad file and check the edition date, ejection direction (1) and
any empty lines. Make printout of each edition notepad files and handover to
Dispatch.

If Orissa edition is printed first the following change is to be made in Andhra edition
notepad.
1. Cut the routes starting from 70787 to 74208 and paste them after the loose copies
route 999999. Delete the last route 70143.
