PROJECT ENGINEER (CONSTRUCTION)

Job Scope :-

1) To assist Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager in all site matters


2) Project progress reporting, coordination of project meetings and resolving project
issues.
3) Planning and managing project implementation and construction of project works to
meet all requirements.
4) Participate in site meeting, reviews inspection schedule, complete inspection
checklist.
5) Ensure that worker and subcontractors adhere to site regulations.
6) Familiar with local standard quality implementation and safety aspects in the oil & gas
industry.
7) Able to coordinate and communicate with all sub-contractors or suppliers to ensure
smooth progress on site.
8) Supporting overall delivery of the Group's business objectives, whilst implementing
departmental procedures in line with Company standards.
9) Responsible for the direct supervision of the project activities undertaken as part of
the Scope of Work and for maintaining the project schedule.
10) Compiling procedures, task plans and lift plans, rigging design, basic structural design
(sea fastenings etc.), AutoCAD design, managing fabrication/ procurement of
installation aids. The role includes managing (project/structural/analysis).
11) Establishing close working relationships with the Operations Manager, Project
Managers and Support Staff to ensure the efficient execution of assigned projects and
strengthened through regular project progress meetings.
12) Liaise with Client Representatives, Certifying Authorities and supervision of sub-
contractor activities.
13) Maintaining regular contact with existing and potential customers and establishing
close relationships with them in order to promote the Company's interest.
14) Ensuring that activity projects meet the requirements as stipulated by the client
achieved through regular client progress meetings.
15) Responsible for the management of administration and logistics matters on the
project, by collaborating with finance, administration and logistics personnel as
required.
16) Ensure that the project schedules are maintained and operated within budget.
17) The optimization of operational gross margin and control over expenditure.

18) Collaborate with the Site Superintendents, ensure the provision of sufficient plant and
equipment to maintain the project schedule at optimum cost.
19) Perform ad-hoc tours of the project work sites to ensure that client and company
requirements are being met with regard to quality, safety and environment.
20) Provide direction, supervision and support to all staff to ensure optimum operational
efficiency and to encourage the continuous improvement philosophy throughout the
facility.
21) Perform any ad hoc task from time to time as and when requested by the Superior/
BSV Management.

Requirements :-

Previous experience in Construction/ Installation (Minimum 4 years) in a Project/ Field


Engineer role within the oil and gas industry.

Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate in Engineering or equivalent field.

1) Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English/ Bahasa Malaysia.


2) Proficient use of software skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point),
Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
3) Possess strong knowledge, skills and experience in project management and hands-
on experience at site.
4) Good problem-solving and negotiation skills with the ability to make analytical
decisions and draw conclusions from comparative conditions.
5) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively
in a team.
6) High level of computer literacy and reporting capability.
7) Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
