Marriott Hotels & Resorts is Marriott International's brand of fullservice hotels

and resorts based in Bethesda, Maryland. As of June 30, 2020, there were 582
hotels and resorts with 205,053 rooms operating under the brand, in addition to 160
hotels with 47,765 rooms in the pipeline. Four Marriott hotels are currently open in
the Philippines namely, Manila Marriott Hotel and Sheraton Manila Hotel, both of
which are located within the Resorts World Complex in Pasay City; Courtyard by
Marriott Iloilo; and Clark Marriott Hotel in Pampanga.

• The Mission statement for the Marriott International is as follows:

“To enhance the lives of our customers by creating and enabling unsurpassed
vacation and leisure experience.”

The mission statement of Marriott Hotels and Resorts is very simple but it’s not
easy to achieve, it is always depends on the guest, on how they will enjoy the
vacation experience that Marriott Hotels and Resorts provide, but looking on the
Marriott success, it is proof that they fulfill their mission to their beloved customers.

• The Marriott’s Vision statement put forth by the company is as follows:

The goal of the company is to leave a foundation of excellence in the service
industry. Marriott Hotels and Resorts aims to be the most favorite travel company in
the world. Their vision is connected to their work ethic and company culture that
leads to the company success.

• Mission

Every company aims to have a long term success and to achieve that, the
company provides a quality service that the customer is left with no other option
other than choosing your brand. Marriott International believes that by enhancing the
lives of their customers and by providing them with premium services, they can
establish themselves as a profitable company in the long term. They create a
memorable experience to retain their customers. By reading some customers
feedback, I believe that Marriot Hotels & Resorts fulfill their mission to every
customer that patronizes the services they offer.
‘‘Stayed for Xmas staycation on the eve of 24th Dec as it recently opened , the food
was great ,room was extraordinary with the full view of airport and all modern
amenities . Housekeeping staff kept bringing water bottles as I drink a lot of water
and my wife requested for it. The buffet was awesome, it’s just you can add
Singaporean style crab to your menu and Rockefeller style oysters in sea food
station it would be wonderful .All our cutlery requests in room were met promptly as
we had invited some friends for gift exchange and champagne! Thank you Sheraton
for making it a wonderful Xmas especially for our 7 year old.” - Sheraton Manila Hotel

The vision of Marriott is to be the world’s favorite travel company, and I think it
becomes a reality and possible with the largest hotel company with 5,700+ properties
offering more than 1.1 million rooms across 30 brands in over 110 countries , it gives
connection to the people across the globe, with their excellence service, and making
a different vibe of luxury, it makes people to choose them.

• Marriott’s Core Values

The Marriott’s core values are few but meaningful. It is important that your
employees knows, follow and observed the core values of a company because it can
help them to have and maintain a long term success.

ROOMS DIVISION MANAGEMENT


The four Marriott hotel open in manila and other parts of the Philippines are
considered a very large hotel thus, having a rooms' division is a must. Rooms
division makes the flow of the hotel works more operative and smoothly from
reservation to check out, it includes and provides all the services that the guest
needs. Rooms Division also generate most revenues than other division of hotel
because it is the
“nerve center”, the main product is the guest rooms, also “heart of the hotel”, and
“backbone of the hotel” or the front office and housekeeping department is part of it.
Rooms division plays an important part in every hotel so it needs to observe
thoroughly.

RECOMMENDATION

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is known for its luxurious experience. The four
Marriott hotels opened in the Philippines; Manila Marriott Hotel and Sheraton
Manila Hotel, both of which are located within the Resorts World Complex in Pasay
City; Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo; and Clark Marriott Hotel in Pampanga is expected
to have the signature of Marriott, and base on the reviews and feedback that I have
red, the four hotels has its own version of luxury, they have different ways to satisfy
their customers and have memorable experiences.
