The physical measurement and physical efficiency test will be held in the.aforesaid
locations w.e.f. 06.08,2018 (Monday) at 7.0OAM. The candidates are requested to be
present in their respective venues at the date and time fixed. The aforesaid examination
may continue for a long period. Hence, the candidates are required to come prepared to
stay for a few days. If at any point of time the candidate disqualifies, he shall not proceed
to the next stage.

3. Terms and condition of service

The appointment to the posts shall be made initially on contractual basis on
consolidated monthly remuneration. The conditions of service and the tenure of the
contractual appointment to the posts will be regulated by the Odisha Group-C and Group-
D posts (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013 and subsequent Government instructions
and amendments thereon.

4. Examination Fees , .

All applicants other than those belonging to the SC and ST category are required to
pay Examination Fees of Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred Fifty only) in shape of Bank

Candidates are exempted from paying the examination fees.

5. Registration of Name in Employment Exchange :

A candidate should have registered his name in any one of the Employment
Exchanges of the State before publication of the advertisement for recruitment' A
candidate should not register his name in more than one Employment Exchange'

6. Age limit ,

The age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 23 years
as on 01.01.2018 (upper age relaxation in case of SC, ST & SEBC candidates is up
to 5 years). The age limit for Ex-Servicemen shall be relaxed as per Government Rules.
The candidates shall avail only one benefit as indicated above.

7. Qualification
Candidate must have passed High School Certificate examination or
equivalent examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or by any
other recognized Board / Council, A candidate should be able to speak, read and write
Odia and must have passed Odia as one of the subjects in the High School Certificate
Examination or an examination in Odia Language equivalent to M.E standard, recognized
or conducted by the School and Mass Education Department of Government of Odisha.
8. Other eligibility criteria

Women are not also eligible for consideration for induction into the Battalions,

(i) The deficiencies of a Sportsperson, who is deficient in his/her physical standards of

measurements by 3 cm in height, 2 cm in chest and 5 Kg in weight for his candidature for
appointment to the post of Constables will be relaxed provided he/she has repr:esented
the State in a National level sports and games meet. For such representation in sports and
games, only the certification from the Directorate of sports shall be considered'

11. Driving Test:- Allotted Marks:O5

The test shall be conducted only for those candidates who claim 'in their
applications that they are proficient in driving and possesses either Light or Heavy Vehicle
Driving license for the last six months( excluding learning period) or more from the date of
advertisement of vacancies and wishes to appear in the driving test for award of marks.

(i) Those candidates who possesses valid Heavy Vehicles Driving license and
pass Heavy Vehicle driving test, shall be awarded 05 Marks. Those
candidates who have the valid Light Vehicle Driving license and pass Light
Vehicle Driving test shall be awarded 3 Marks, of those appearing for the
test and awarded the marks shall be deemed to have accepted the service
condition that if called upon they shall have to drive the light or heavy
vehicle, as the case may b€, as part of their normal duties and
responsibilities.

Note.- Candidate must produce the valid original driving license, which must tally with
the details given by him in the Application Form.

Note:- The candidates must note that they will stand disqualified if they do not
appear or are found absent by the last call of each event.

a) Written Test shall consist of multiple choice questions in Odia language English
language, Arithmetics, General Knowledge, Aptitude and Logical Reasoning etc.. The
standard of the questions shall be such that a student who have passed matriculation is
able to answer the questions.

b) The candidates not appearing in written test shall be disqualified.

c) The examination shall be conducted using OMR method.

d) Selection Board will decide the minimum qualifying marks in the Written Test.

14. Sports Achievement: Allotted Marks: 15

a) Sports achievement in the disciplines other than 26 listed below shall not be considered
for award of marks for recruitment of Sepoys/Constables in Battalions.

16. Medical Examination

A committee consisting of a Medical Officer not below the rank of SDMO and
another Doctor shall conduct medical examination before commencement of the Physical
Efficiency Test. The candidates having organic defects, Physical deformity or found unfit
will not be allowed to appear In the Physical Efficiency Tests.

The applicants shall produce a self certificate regarding his/her physical

fitness declaring that he/she is fit to participate in different physical efficiency
tests and submit it to the recruiting Board while appearing for the physica!
tests.
17. The candidates will submit the photo copy of following certificates with the application
form with self attestation.

18. How to apply

All the candidates irrespective of categories have to pay Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty
only) in the shape of Bank Draftl Postal Order towards cost of application fo'm.in the
concerned Battalion. Apaft from this, the application form may be downloaded;"from the
website viz.- www.odisha.gov.in, www.odishapotice.qov.in, wu{w.opssb.niQ,in. The
candidates who have downloaded the application form from the website shall :also pay
Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only) in the shape of Bank Draftl Postal Order towards, cost of
application form in the concerned Battalion where they intend to apply, The Bank Draft/
Postal Order will be in favour of the concerned Commandant of the
Battalion/DCP(Security) of Spl. Security Battalion. The application form along with
Bank Draft/Postal Order and photo copies of self attested certificates/relevant documents
should be sent to the concerned Commandant of the Battalioni DCP(Security) of Spl.
Security Battalion through post or to be deposited by hand at the concerned Battalion.
The last date for submission application is 26.07.2018 by 5.00PM. Application received
after 26.07.2OL8 after 5.00 PM shall not be entertained.

19. Warning to the Candidates
The recruitment of Sepoys / Constables for the above mentioned posts will be conducted
in a free, fair and transparent manner, The selection of the candidates wiil,be meiit based.
Therefore, the candidates are warned not to indulge in any malpractice or attempt any

On completion of the recruitment test a Select List will be drawn up,';by each
