Activity - Creating A Business Plan - TIPAY.EMELIE

The business plan proposes a small pizzeria restaurant located in a downtown area that has a strong need for additional dining options. The pizzeria, called "Katipunan Pizza Corp.", will stand out by making pizzas from scratch using high-quality ingredients at affordable prices. The target market includes families, students, and office workers looking for a comfortable and affordable place for dine-in, take-out, or delivery. Marketing will involve social media posts of menu items and promotions. Prices are estimated to be competitive while allowing for a 20% profit margin after expenses.

Activity: Creating a Business Plan

Business Idea:
What is your big idea?
 The idea is a small pizzeria restaurant that is almost like an open veranda and is
comfortable and familiar. That has maybe a small bar with some cool draft beers.
It has some nice cozy booths. Where we can also do a few pasta dishes too.
Located in the downtown that is always buzzling with hungry people that has a
strong need for additional dining options. And hey, it’ll be a budget-friendly
pizza.
Is it a product or a service?
 A restaurant is all about service.
What makes your idea different?
 Pizza is a staple food. So, we can make it different if we are going to try and make
it from scratch. Most pizza shops right now sell frozen pizzas and you can only
see freshly baked and made from scratch pizzas at fancy restaurants which is very
pricey.
How will your products/service stand out from the competition?
 We are sensitive to the look and taste of good pizza as well as to high-quality
ingredients but cheap and can be resource locally. We look to provide the best
possible value to our customers who desire great tasting pizza and to provide
customers with the satisfaction of receiving a great value, both tangibly and
intangibly. Additionally, we seek to provide home-delivery of pizzas in the area.
Why will people want to buy?
 People will buy because our service will be cheap but with quality. Customer
satisfaction is the primary goal.
Business Name:
 The pizzeria will be named “Katipunan Pizza Corp.”. The catch is to establish a
place where even an ethnic Filipino can confide freely their love of pizza even if
it’s a foreign cuisine, you know, just like the Katipunan of the old days. A place
where families and friends can dine without hesitation because they know that the
service is affordable and good.
Target Market & Demographics
Who will your customers be?
 Our primary target market is people who desire a comfortable, friendly, family-
oriented environment and cheap for dine-in and pizza. These consists of small to
medium size families, students and office workers at any age and group.
 Our secondary target market also desires a delivery service for pizza, or a take-out
approach.
Marketing
How will you get the word out about your business?
 Hiring a professional photographer to have a photo of a craveable pizza and
menu. These photos will be posted at the pizzeria’s social media channels and in-
store posters.
 We will also create social media post and table tents with a call to action that
encourages customers to tag the pizzerias accounts in their photos. This will boost
the restaurant’s visibility and sales.
 We will generate hype, urgency, and profit, by offering a special menu item for a
limited time only.
Pricing
How much will you charge?
 Our estimated average prices for each item are as follows:
 Pizza: Php 69.00
 Pasta: Php 35.00
 Garlic knots: Php 25.00
o (for add-ons + Php 15.00)
 Beer: Php 50.00
 Drinks: Php 15.00
o (refillable = Php 35.00)

· What are your competitors charging?

 They’re charging for their brands name and pricey ingredients.
Profit
How much will you make on each sale after you subtract your expenses?
 On an average sale subtracted with expenses we can make 20% profit presumably
only at the first month.
Profit=Income=Expenses?
 In a pizza with a sale price of Php 69.00 the cost of the item is Php 55.00.
 The money the pizzeria can make will be reinvested to the business.
