APPLICATION AND
SELECTION PROCESS
To apply and get selected for the Pilot Programme, the following
procedure will be followed:

1. Online Registration
Applicant must first register online on

Please note that a non-refundable application fee of ₹5,000
(Rupees Five Thousand) is required to be paid while submitting
the application online.

2. Application Screening
Once the application has been submitted, the same shall undergo
internal screening process. In case the applicant is selected for
further assessment the academy team will get in touch with details
regarding the selection process through an e-mail and/or SMS.

3. Selection Process Fee


Upon getting the confirmation from the Academy for the
screening process, the applicant will be required to pay a
non-refundable assessment fee of ₹20,000 (Rupees Twenty
Thousand) through online payment on https://pilot.spicestaracade-
my.edu.in/screening-payment.php.

4. Selection Process
The selection process is scientifically designed to determine the
suitability of the applicant for the job of an airline pilot and is
divided into 4 phases.

a. Applicant must note that only upon successfully completing each Phase, can he/she move ahead to the next phase.
b. Phases 1, 2, 3 and 4 are usually completed on the same day, unless postponed. The applicant will be duly informed.
c. Final results will be announced on the same day after Phase 4 test, unless postponed.
d. Phase 1, 2 and 3 are computer-based tests.
e. No cell phones or calculators are allowed during the test.
COURSE CURRICULUM AND DURATION
Depending on the choice of course and upon selection, the following will be the course
curriculum and tentative duration for each course.

Note : Type Rating is a qualification to fly a specific ‘TYPE’ of aircraft


e.g. B737, Q400 etc. Any aircraft, which has a maximum take-off weight
of more than 5,700 kg or is turbine powered requires a ‘Type Rating’ to
operate. A ‘Type Rating’ course consists of a technical ground school
course (covering the aircraft systems and performance) and a simulator
course, where Cadet Pilot learns to fly the aircraft in a ‘full flight
simulator’ which simulates normal and emergency situations.

d. In exceptional circumstances, where the Cadet Pilot is unable to complete the respective phases of the Pilot Programme, the Academy may in its absolute
discretion consider refund of the unaccrued fee as per the extant policy of the Academy
