The way of bringing people of different groups closer together from the exchange of worldviews, products, and
other parts of cultures. Economic, social, and political globalization are the three main factors that affect
globalization. Progresses in transportation and telecommunications constructions, including the internet, are
major factors of globalization, creating more interdependence in economies and cultures. All the examples that
were presented above in concept map show how globalization affects my everyday life without even realizing that
it does.Without globalization, my life would be completely different because society has evolved in so many ways
through the integration of other nations that going back would be too hard to adjust to.

ACTIVITY 2:
2.Study the history of global economy and its relationship to market integration and international
financial institution. Based on the file that I’ve read, it is the international spread of capitalism, especially in
recent decades, across national boundaries and with minimal restrictions by governments. The global
economy has become hotly controversial. Critics allege that its props, free markets and free trade, take jobs
away from well-paid workers in the wealthy nations while creating sweatshops in the poor ones. Its supporters
insist that the free movement of capital stimulates investment in poor nations and creates jobs in them. The
process is also called globalization. The relationship of global economy to market integration and financial
institution is that they both participate together as suppliers and demanders of funds.
3. Differentiate Global Economy from market Integration Market integration refers to how easily 2 or more
markets can trade with each other.
In case of high integration, it means that there is low barriers on trade as well as prices are similar in the two
markets. In case of low integration, high barriers to trade as well prices fluctuate between these markets. Foreign
trade helps the integration of markets because it reduces barriers to trade and increases fluidity between
markets. As foreign trade increases, the price will go down until it reaches the price which is in the original
market from where the trade has been made. While the word The world economy or global economy is the
economy of all humans of the world, referring to the global economic system that includes all economic activity
within nations and between nations, including production, consumption, economic management, exchange of
financial values and trade of goods and services.
Self Reflection:
In the world of finance and investing, a global corporation is one that has significant investments and facilities in
multiple countries and lacks a dominant headquarters. Global corporations are governed by the laws of the
country where they are incorporated.
2. What is the significance of market integration to society Integrated marketing is the holistic approach to
making sure you are being consistent with your message in all media.
A consistent message across multiple platforms increases the likelihood your target audience will take action in
ways that you intend. When used effectively, integrated marketing helps optimize spending by helping you to put
the right amount of money toward the most effective approaches that yield the best results. Integrated marketing
puts the focus on ensuring that your messaging is consistent, regardless of the channel that is used as the vehicle
to share the message.
ACTIVITY 3:
1. Differentiate Global Economy and modern system. Based on what I've read in the LMS , global economy is the
international spread of capitalism, especially in recent decades, across national boundaries and with minimal
restrictions by governments. On the other hand, modern system is an independent modernization company that
empowers IT efficiency, agility, and competitive advantage through core application modernization.
2. What is the importance of international financial institution to countries of the world? World Bank is playing
main role of providing loans for development works to member countries, especially to underdeveloped countries.
The World Bank provides long-term loans for various development projects of 5 to 20 years duration. The World
Bank is one of the world’s largest sources of funding and knowledge to support governments of member
countries in their efforts to invest in schools and health centers, provide water and electricity, fight disease and
protect the environment. This support is provided through project or policy-based loans and grants as well as
technical assistance such as advice and studies. This is important because one of the goals of the World Bank is to
reduce poverty and to improve the living standards of the people in low and middle-income countries. The World
Bank was established in 1944, as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Recently the
"World Bank" name has come to be used for the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD)
and the International Development Association (IDA). When it first began operations to speed post World War II
reconstruction, it had 38 members, now it has 184, almost all the countries in the world. As membership grew
and their needs changed, the World Bank expanded and is currently made up of five different agencies. The
World Bank is present in 100 countries and has a staff of approximately 10,600 people from around the world.
One of the Bank’s main strengths is the international experience provided by its diverse staff. All support to a
borrowing country is guided by a single strategy (called the Country Assistance Strategy) that the country itself
designs with help from the World Bank and many other donors, aid groups, and civil society organizations.
3.
The poster that I made symbolizes the agreement between our country and other foreign countries to have a
better relationship on global economy. It is also a way of giving our trust to other countries to help one another
by exchanging products or what we call trading. Trade is central to ending global poverty. Countries that are
open to international trade tend to grow faster, innovate, improve productivity and provide higher income and
more opportunities to their people. Open trade also benefits lower-income households by offering consumers
more affordable goods and services. Integrating with the world economy through trade and global value chains
helps drive economic growth and reduce poverty—locally and globally International trade not only results in
increased efficiency, it also allows countries to participate in a global economy, encouraging the opportunity for
foreign direct investment (FDI). In theory, economies can therefore grow more efficiently and can more easily
become competitive economic participants. As it opens up the opportunity for specialization, and therefore more
efficient use of resources, international trade has the potential to maximize a country's capacity to produce and
acquire goods. Opponents of global free trade have argued, however, that international trade still allows for
inefficiencies that leave developing nations compromised. What is certain is that the global economy is in a
state of continual change, and, as it develops, so too must its participants.
ACTIVITY 4:
Brush up!
The future of globalization looks bright. With the increasing innovation, development, and transferability of
technology, the global economy will witness more integration and interconnectedness. Enhancing this is the
inherent high mobility of the current and upcoming generation. While national governments will continue to be
relevant, national policies and decisions will be greatly influenced by external factors related to the impacts of
globalization. Developing and emerging markets will be mostly affected due to their development needs and
consequent demand for technology and development skills to address their needs.
