3 groups will play the 3 small escape rooms. The 3 groups will alternate going to the 3 escape rooms.
The other 3 groups will be playing the Mystery of Ted Baker concurrently. The small escape rooms and
Mystery of Ted Baker group will swap over.

The rest of the participants can hang out at the chill zone and groups can swap out with the people at
the chill zone if they want to.

[Escape Room 1 : Cranium]


OBJECTIVE

Players are trapped within a game and they would have to escape the game by
defeating the boss.

Storyline

It’s a rainy day. You invited your friends over to play Cranium, an adventure filled video
game. Halfway through the game, a glitch occurred and all of you were sucked into the
game.

The people in Cranium were happy until the evil Doctor Limerick came along. He has in his
possession the legendary Skull of Akator that has power to control every living thing. He has used
the Skull to Abuse the people in the land. In order to escape the game, you have to travel through
the land of Cranium and destroy the Skull of Akator.

Key Elements

1. Room is a map with 3 main stations.


2. ​At each station, there will be QR code which Teams will scan to play a video explaining
the task of each station. Video will be an Animoji talking and giving instructions.
3. There will be 1 facilitator in the room dressed in a Safari Outfit.

Flow

1. Watch Introduction Video.​Video describes the objective (i.e. travel through the land of Cranium, find
Doctor Limerick’s lair and destroy the Skull of Akator).
2. Find the Map to Doctor Limerick’s Lair.​Video shows a villager describing how one of Doctor
Limerick’s minions dropped the map to his lair in the river. Retrieve the map.
3. Navigate through the mountain passes.​Video shows a villager describing how there’s a specific
route through the mountain. One wrong step would lead to death!
4. Find the Skull of Akator.​Voice of Doctor Limerick saying, “You will never be able to find it!”

​Gameplay

River

● Team will have to stand At one end of the kiddy pool and retrieve the map without getting
their hands wet
● Team players can use random items provided to retrieve the map ( Shoelaces, clothes
hook)
● Players cannot stretch their arms over the kiddy pool to reach for the map. They have to
use the items to retrieve it.
● There will be dummy maps. The real map will have a star on it

Mountains

● When players enter,In front of them there will be a grid


● When they enter , they will see this sign board
● Players must figure out how to use the sign.
● They will need to look at the sign board from the top, to look at the arrows like the hands
of the clock
● A compass will be in the room near the signs and north will be 12 o clock.

Eg. 2oclock , 4oclock, 8oclock, 10oclock.

● Each box of the grid will only be around the size of an A5 paper to ensure players step in
the right box and keep their balance.
● Stools will be placed around to stimulate the idea of a mountain.

The Lair
- Activity will be situated in a dark room
- There will be a skull hidden in a chest that is locked.
- There will be 10 pieces of paper with numbers written on it with invisible ink that will be
hidden around the room.
- 4 of the numbers will be used. The players have to use the method of guess and check.
- Players will have to obtain the LED flashlight (which is tied to a rope another object, refer
to image below ) to shine on the paper to reveal the numbers
- Challenge is players have to find and untie the torchlight in the dark to shine on the
paper.

OBJECTIVE

Players meet with a person from the future who gives them the power to travel to the
past to prevent a future they do not want to happen.

VENUE

Storyline

You are living your life as a student in one of the most prestigious university in the world,
Harvard. One night, on your way back to your hostel, you came across a man from the
future. He takes you to the future.

In the future, he describes a Professor who stumbled across alien technology far
superior than mankind. Being motivated by greed, the Professor is willing to make these
weapons for anyone who would pay him. As such, he created a large number of these
weapons for the Russians and they have succeeded in conquering more than 95% of the
world. A remaining faction has gathered all its resources and built a time communication
device to warn the present.

You are given a mission to go back in time to retrieve this alien technology and prevent
the extinction of humanity. Humanity’s fate is in your hands as you try to prevent
extinction before time runs out.

Key Elements

1. Ipad/ electronic device to store information and play videos.


2. “ wikipedia” page giving the background of the professor and which describes
how he found the Alien Tech
3. Mos code playing in the background and Mos code sheet
4. Laptop with plans for the device to read the alien technology.

Flow

1. Watch Introduction Video. ​Video describes the encounter with the man from the future and
the mission. Video ends with transporting you to the day and place where the Professor discovered
the Alien technology
2. Read Wikipedia page in iPad describing location of Alien Tech.
3. Unlock the Box from the Mos Code sound playing in the background.
4. Realise the Box is empty.
5. Message from the future. V​ ideo describes that it appears that the Alien Tech was discovered
even earlier than what was recorded. It is too late and we are unable to change the past. Transport
to the present where the Professor is building a device to read the Alien Technology. Hack into his
laptop and erase the plans
6. Find Professor’s Laptop
7. Find the password to unlock the laptop.
8. Delete the file.
Game Play

Past

- The scene will be in a shed like type of setting.


- Players have to read about the alien tech. There will be the background of how it
ended up in the shed and how the tech can be used.
- A box will be placed in the room to look like one of the props
- Afterwards, players have to unlock the number lock on the box with the MOS
code. MOS code will be played in the background.
- MOS code manual will be placed in a file on the table.
- After unlocking the box, players realise the box is empty. A message from the
future will be played through video ( refer to flow, pointer 5)

Present: Havard University dorm(1)

- Players have to find the hidden laptop.


- Background will be playing a simple melody.
- Upon entering, they will see a toy piano as the professor loves music and likes
pianos the most.
- A simple piano melody will be playing in the background. Melody consists of 3
notes that play over and over again. (chorus of what makes you beautiful consists
of only three notes so we will use that)
- The players need to figure out the number code by playing the melody on the toy
piano.
- The Keys will be numbered.
- The notes played will reveal the number code. ( for example the code is 213 )

Present: Havard University dorm(2)

- Players have to find out the password


- Players will be given a secret decoder wheel and the password for the laptop.

Present: Professor’s Room

- Players have to delete the file to save humanity.

OBJECTIVE

Players have to figure out the next target of an arsonist in the fastest time possible.

Storyline

You are trapped in a lair of a serial arsonist, Flint Powell. He is a fan of puzzles. You need to
unravel his biggest puzzle yet to figure out the next location he sets plans to set ablaze.

Key Elements

1. Floor of the room is a “Snakes and Ladders” grid.


2. Walls of the room is filled with letters .

Flow

1. Explanation by Facilitator
2. Find the direction to move on the grid.
3. Find the number on the grid using the moves obtained from previous stage.
4. Find a paper matching the number of the grid with an exact location.

Gameplay

Crossword puzzle

- walls will be filled with papers with letters on it like as shown below.

- There will be 2 crossword puzzle stencils that will be in the room that they have to
find.
- Players have to find the correct piece of paper by placing the stencil to reveal the
numbers that will be spelled out.
- Each piece of paper will be numbered.
Snake and ladders grid

- Upon completion of the crossword puzzle, they will be able to tell how many
moves to make and in which direction.
- Each grid on the snake and ladder will have numbers 1-50.

​[Escape Room 4 : Mystery of Ted Baker]

OBJECTIVE

Players have to​ ​to figure out the (i) identity of the dead person, (ii) how the person died, (iii) the
identity of the murder, (iv) what is his motive and (v) his next target.

​Storyline

You are a detective trying to solve a case. Three civilian reported hearing and seeing
disturbing things happening in the rented apartment next door. There is always different
people going in but they seem to exit. The police decided to investigate but was one step
too late as the prime suspect had fled. Everything in the laboratory was left in its state as
Ted Baker left in a hurry all his victims were rescued however they have lost all their
memory due to ptsd. You find yourself in the house of the prime suspect and you have to
find out his motive, as well as his current location in order to stop his heinous crimes.

They start off with a basic electronic “Detective” starter pack.


In the folder for each team it will contain:
1. The basic information clues
The 5 victim that was taken by the police.
Eg.
Name:
Age:
Symptoms: (linked to the profile)
Reported missing on:
2. The report/form they have to write to close the case
There will be contents they have to fill in. After each time they fill in the blanks the comm
can display their progress on the screen.

Key element

1. Main sanctuary would be the house of the murderer. It would contain (a) the main
lab, (b) his room and (c) his pantry.
2. Teams will text their answers and the “stage” in which they have progressed in
the Escape Room will be displayed on the screen.

Flow

1. Watch Introduction video. Video pieces together the 3 promo videos which forms
the storyline for this Escape Room.
2. Find out the that it was Ted Baker
3. Find out what he has been doing
4. Find out the the cause of the hospitalised victim the police saved
5. Find our identity of the murdered through the files of victims.
6. Find out cause of the hospitalisation victim that the police saved
7. Find out identity of murderer
8. Piece together the motive for murder and the next target.

Scene
Players will walk in on an outline of a body and tape surrounding the area. They will be
told they are detectives and need to solve. (get lamps to set atmosphere)

Game play

Identify the researcher (placed at the study room)


- Have a calendar present on the study
- The calendar shows that on the days where the victims went missin he has
“Golfing”
- Conclude that the prime suspect name is Ted Baker

Identity of victims (placed at the study room)

- A laptop will be placed in the room.


- The number code will be required.
- Players must solve riddles to obtain answer. (​What two whole, positive
numbers that have a one-digit answer when multiplied and a
two-digit answer when added? 1 and 9 )(What two whole, postive
numbers have the same answer when multiplied together as when
added together? 2 and 2)
- In the laptop will be a folder.
- In the folder will be a profile of different victims he has experimented on.
​The profile documents
All the people that he kidnapped information will be within the document. As well as their near
death experience prior to when they were kidnapped.

Eg.
Name: Esther
DOB: 21 May 2009
NRIC: T012345678F
Belonging: include the items that belongs to them (have it placed all around the hall)
Date of entering: 21 May 2019

- From this and the Detective starter pack at the start they will be able to identify the
victim as well as conclude that he conducts near death experiences.
-
- The scientist will have a diary with the recording of the process of the experiment
that led to the different heart rate, feelings, temperature, things they see, no dying
- The folder will have fake information written on it to distract the players, the real
clues are the indent that is on these pages on the diary (eg when you use too
much force to write on the paper and the following page will have the indent,
these indents are the real clues)
- The pages of the diary will be scattered all around the room along with other
multiple crashed papers and the players will have to search for the few ones with
the real clue
- s to piece it together.
- Players have to shade over the pages to reveal the secret message: Which will
state what the experiment was (eg. Victim 5: Drowning )
(in main lab)

Motive for experiments


- The scientist’s journal will be on a Table in his room. Only one entry was written
and specific words will be written in a different font. The first alphabet of the
words will form the sentence “ a red envelope”
- Red envolope will be hidden in the room.
- The challenge is the entry is written backwards. Players have to find a mirror to
read it. ( refer to image below )

- On top of that, the mirror that is needed will be tied to an object and players have
to untie it ( similar to escape room 1 )
( in Main lab)

Scientist’s current location


- A map will be plastered on the wall in his room ( again, supposed to look like a
deco only ) the map will be a shape of a country however the map is filled with
numbers and split up (eg. Below)
- Scattered around the room will be crushed paper. On the paper will be just
random words that have no link whatsoever. But on one of the papers will be a
small hole.
- The idea is that players supposed to place that piece of paper on top of the map
in the room. The hole will give the answer to where his current location is.
- They have to find out the direction of the paper by looking at the hands of the
clock. For example if it is 3 o clock they have to turn the paper 90 degrees.
- Location will be yellowstone national park of the united states
(in room)

Next Victim
- The current location of the murderer will be linked to the identity of the next victim
- There will be a yellowstone hidden in a pot of soil with earthworms in it. Inside
this yellowstone, there will be a thumbdrive. Players have to break apart the
yellow stone to reveal a thumbdrive.
- To unlock the thumbdrive, they will have to figure out a passcode.
- On the wall there will be a framed up picture of japanese words. Among the
words there will be japanese numbers. They have to figure out the numbers to
input into the computer to unlock the thumbdrive.
- In the thumbdrive, there will be information of a few people
- Players must link back to the previous files and victims and find a similarity to
figure out which is the next victims. (victims all have freckles)
- The informations of the people on the thumbdrive will have their postal code.
- On the next victim information the postal code is the HDB block opposite
(in room)
