DIFFERENT TYPES OF TECHNOLOGY USED IN THE INDUSTRY

1. Communication Technology
-Also known as information technology, pertains to all equipment and programs that are used to process
and communicate information. Communication technologies include the Internet, multimedia, e-mail,
telephone, radio, and television

2. Construction Technology
-It is related to the equipment and methods utilized to build both advanced and basic buildings and
structures. This can include heavy engineering structures. In addition, These Technologies will develop the
workers to be more efficient and it can help to increase their productivity, improve collaboration, and do more
complex projects.

3. Product Technology
-It is the understanding of specifications and characteristics of a service or product created as per the
needs of the market and manufacturing processes. It is the specific technology used by the manufacturer of
the service or product, its manpower, standards, materials, design specifications, procedures and methods. It
helps in determining the functional characteristics, properties, and structure of the product to ensure it meets
the requirements and needs of the customer.

4. Medical Technology
-It is a broad field where innovation plays a crucial role in sustaining health. It comprises areas like
pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to utilize the best possible medical equipment for researching,
diagnosing and treating diseases and infections.

5. Architecture Technology
-It provides a more concrete view of the way in which application components will be realized and
deployed. It will be a big help for architects especially on designing and supervising the construction of
buildings.

6. Educational Technology
-It is used to improve the quality of education and enhance the learning process. Most importantly,
technology should magnify the teaching and learning process as well as facilitate better performance of
educational systems as it emphasises upon effectiveness and efficiency. For instance, a combined use of
computer hardware, software, and educational theory and practice to facilitate learning.

7. Business Technology
-This technology helps in the proper and systematic running of businesses and for enhancing different
business functions and operations. This typically includes a mixture of hardware and software.

8. Information Technology
-This technology comprises a set of software and hardware tools utilized to process, transfer and store
information. These tools of information technology provide the right individuals with accurate and updated
information at the right time.
9. Space Technology
-This technology is developed by the aerospace industry or space science to utilize in space exploration,
satellites, and spaceflights. It is used to commercialize or explore space like communication satellites and
spacecraft. Space technology includes space stations, satellites, spacecraft, and support procedures,
equipment, and infrastructure.

10. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

-It is also called machine intelligence. It is the intelligence the machines demonstrate, contrasting to the
natural intelligence demonstrated by animals and humans. According to computer science, artificial
intelligence research is known as intelligent agents study. A device perceiving its environment and taking
action which maximizes its chances of attaining its goals successfully can be referred to as artificial
intelligence.

11. Robotics technology

-It is a field which is related to artificial intelligence. It is the utilization of machines, construction,
operation, and designing robots for performing tasks that were done by humans.

12. Super Intelligence

- is the technology which demonstrates intelligence that surpasses even the smartest and most gifted
minds of humans. It can also be referred to problem-solving systems like engineering assistants and
superintelligent language, doesn’t matter if these enhanced intellectual competencies are embedded in agents
acting in the real world.

13. Agricultural technology or agrotechnology (abbreviated agritech, AgriTech, or agrotech)

-It is the use of technology in agriculture, horticulture, and aquaculture with the aim of improving yield,
efficiency, and profitability.

14. Entertainment technology

-It is the discipline of using manufactured or created components to enhance or make possible any sort
of entertainment experience. The latest technology has been revolutionized daily entertainment. Old ways such
as recording on records, tapes, and CDs, have made music across the world.
Role of Technology in Future Meetings, Conventions, and Exhibit

Technology is important and plays a big role in Meetings, Conventions, and Exhibit. The advancement of
technology is making a huge impact in the way how the event planned, executed , and measured. Most of
Eventplanner/Manager today used a traditional with the collaboration of technolgy, for the reason that it can
help to enhance the experience of attendees on the otherhand it can make the work of Eventplanner/Manager
easier and allows them to focus on the main part of the event. Must embrace the used of technology in order to
have a successful and to create more engaging ecperience in your event.

connect different attendees, especially if the venue is large and they’re too far away to make the session
in person. In the end, it’s all about engaging as many people as possible.

2. Artificial Intelligence
- The use of artificial intelligence is on the rise because of its ability to customize experiences for
individuals while simultaneously bringing the community together .In general, AI helps associate certain
attendees with their field of work and interests which then ensures that the best, most helpful content
reaches the right people as soon as they need it. Example: Event chatbots, Facial recognition during event
registration, Voice translation and interpretation during panels,Event newsletter personalization.

3. Projection Mapping
-If you’re looking to enhance the attendee experience, an augmented reality technology
called projection mapping can create excitement and engagement. Videos, graphics, animation, and
other creative content are projected onto any surface, turning everyday structures into vibrant,
interactive 3D displays.

4. Event diagramming in 3D
-It’s essential to have a complete, detailed picture of an event layout to ensure effective floor plans,
seating, flow, foot traffic, lighting, cabling, and other room elements. Easy-to-use  3D event
diagramming software provides accurate, customizable, collaborative project planning regardless of
venue design or size.

5. Social Media Sentiment

-As event attendees connect on social media and comment on an event, you can evaluate hashtags,
@-mentions, emojis, and comments to determine varying levels of satisfaction. This data
underscores the importance of social media sentiment analysis in monitoring your brand and
messaging, keeping an eye on competitors, and makin g improvements to services during and after
events.

6. AV and VR
- In the digital world of AV, the use of VR (virtual reality) in events is now a trend around the world.
Clients are able to gain a fast impression of ideas for corporate events, new products are easier to grasp, spaces
can be experienced in 3D and with a 360-degree perspective.
7. Audiovisual
-Audio visual communication is a productive form of communication. Using sound and lighting equipment
improves communication by heightening the awareness of your audience's sight and hearing. Audiences who
use more of their senses to engage at events remember those events for a longer period of time. It is in the form
of electronic media possessing both a sound and a visual component, such as slide-tape presentations, films,
television programs, corporate conferencing, church services, and live theater productions.

*Examples include:

 Video conferencing systems

 Large screen monitors/projectors
 Screen sharing
 Interactive white boards
 Touch-screens
 Virtual reality systems
 Lead capture devices
 Audience interaction/participation
 Social media displays
 Trade show or conference apps  (mobile)
LESSON 1: MEETING TECHNOLOGY

1. The role of technology in providing outstanding services in an event.

Technology is important in our daily lives. In view of life without technology is pointless in
today’s progressive world. It is an important tool to promote development as its main objective
is making tasks easier, faster, and better.

In the event industry, technology plays an important role for the reason that planning a large
event can be demanding and crucial. It is essential for an event planner/ manager to make sure
that every part of the event is properly planned, executed, and measured. In this industry,
technology is one of the most important factors to generate efficiency. Nowadays, event
planners had implemented the used of event technologies in order for them to make their work
more effective and efficient. On the other hand it can help to enhance the experience and
expectations of the client as well as to their visitors/attendees.

In addition, using technology in an event has its advantages such as: It can save time, cost
