NoJDean(Exams.)2020/1181 Dated: 18.11.2020, NOTIFICATION Subjects Guidelines for Open Book Examinations (OBE) - Semester Examinations December - 2020 using OBE Portal for II/V/VH Semester, Essential Repeaters of UNLV Semester, Improvement Cases and Ex-Students for all Under Graduate (UG) Progeams of all streams including NCWEB & SOL. 1. This is in continuation of the Notifications issued dated 23.10.2020, 26.10.2020 and 31.10.2020 (all the Notifications are availble on the Website of the University of Delhi ie. www.du.n.in) 2. ‘The examinations of II/V/VII Semester along with Essential Repeaters of VII/V Semester, Improvement cases and Fx-Studenss shall begin from 12.12.2020, as notified vide ‘ofification dated 26.10.2020. The tentative date shoets have already been seleased on 05.11.2020 and are available on the University website. Based on the inputs ‘suggestions received from the eollegeslinstitte, students and stakeholders, the final date sheets shall be feleased in due course of time 5. For Ex-stdens, Essential Repeaters and for those students applying for improvement of| their performance: |) The Exestudents shall follow the respective date sheets as per their year of ii) The final year students who have been awarded ER (Essential Repest) in their ‘mark sheets shall re-appear for the same as per the date sheet, along withthe ‘V® Semester Examinations ii) The second year students who have been awarded ER (Essential Repeat) in thei ‘mark sheets shall re-appear for the same as per the date sheet, along with the 11 Semester Examinations i) The students who have passed in ther finl year (VI Semester) Examinations in the year 2020 can only appear for an improvement in their V" Semester ‘examinations, as per dhe date sheet and applicable rules inthis regard1) The students who are in the final year (V" Semester) ean appear for improvement in the papers of II Semester ony. vi) The students who are in the second year (II Semester) can appear for improvement in the papers of T* Semester onl. ‘All stents must ensure that their examination forms for the respective courses have already been ile. “The Admit Cards shall be availabe on the University Website before the commencement of examination. The students shall ownload/print the same and produce whenever required by the College"Universty “The students should remain in contact with their Collegenstitute and visit the University & Colleglinsttute website regularly, The Collegelnstiute may use official e-mai/update College website SMS services(Messaging Apps like WhatsApp ete. for sending important information tothe students. ach College/Inttute shall upload the mobile numbers and email ID of the Nodal Oficer on the CollegeInsitute website under imimation to the University in which students can contact, nthe ease of any query during the examination days. “The students shall answer the questions on Ad Size papers and mark page mumber on the top ‘of each page, On fist page, the student shall write the following details, Date and time of examination (DDMMIYYYY, HRS:Min} Examination Roll Number: [Name of the Program ie. B.A. B.Com. B.S. (Hons /Pas) ete: Semester Unique Paper Code (UPC) Tite ofthe Paper: "Name of the College/Insitute: E-mail ID ofthe student “Mobile Number ofthe student ‘The duration of the Examination shall be 4 hours. Out of which 3 hours shall be given tothe students for answering the questions, and the remaining one hour shall be utilized for downloading. the question papers, scanning the answer sheet in the PDP format and tploading the scanned PDF of answer sheets on the Portal “The duration of the Examination shall be 6 hows forthe students belonging tothe Divyaang, (PWD) CategoryIMPORTANT: In case of poor intemet connectivity’any unforeseen technical glitches ee, the stent is advised to submit hishher script beyond the specified time period with the documentary evidence. The maximum time limit for delayed submission is 60 minutes. However, ll such cass willbe examined by the Review Committee and these answer shets shall be evaluated based on the decision ofthe Review Commitee. {Histo mention that the ime of submission of answer sheets shal be recorded by the system. ‘The delayed submissions of answer shect with exact time of submission shall be sent to Review Commitee Students most suit an undertaking of not using any unfair mean, by pressing the button provided on the portal before uploading the seanned PDF of answer sheets. The proforma for the said undertaking shall be made available to the students on the portal from where the “question papers are downloaded by the stants Suuents should appear in the examination as per the option fille inthe examination form for the mode of examination je. "Physical Mode (From the College)" OR "Remote Mode (From Home)" by using ICT based facilities. Those who have opted the option of writing «exam by Physical mode (College), wil have the choice of writing it through Remote Mode (Home) but not the vice-versa. The College will provide necessary infrastructure in ‘compliance withthe MHA, UGC guidelines in view of COVID-19. for the stu The students may vite the examination ftom any part ofthe country of hisher ii) Students shall require laptopesktop/mobile phonelany other appropriate device with adequate internet connectivity for aceossing University Portal, downloading ‘question paper and uploading of answer sheets onthe University Portal (Gi) Students should scan the answer shoet question wise and upload the respective PDF file on the OBE poral, the filesize of each answer should be within the 7 [MB limit, Only PDF format without any password wil be accepted (ivy A-systom generated acknowledgement will be sent to the student's registered e- ‘mall after submission ofthe answers sheets on the poral (©) The students who had opted for Remote Mode (Home) shall not be permitted to appear through Physical Mode (College). Instat(ii) The studenis shall be provided all the ICT facilites including computer by the CCollege/Insttute for downloading question paper, scanning of answer sheets and ‘plod of answer sheets on the OBE Portal (ili) The students shall bring the Ad Size Papers for writing the answers. (iv) The students who have opted Physical Mode (College) may appear in Remote Move (Home) iTheshe desires. Note: wnswer Sheets submitted other than the OBE Portal shall not be entertained under ‘ny circumstances. 12. Please follow the steps forthe submission of answer script as mentioned on the OBE portal ie, psfobe.du asin! 13. Mock Test Paper may be available onthe OBE portal one week before the commencement of ‘examinations It will be helpful to the students, who are appearing for examinations to make them comfortable for the usage of (cols & applications required for downloading question Papers and uplosding the seanned answer sheets after the completion of examination, 14.
