Educational technology and media maintain the spirit of democracy in the field of
education. Also, it makes it possible to equalize the educational opportunities to all people
irrespective of the differences in social and economic status. Further, it provides an
educational opportunity to those physically handicapped and also to those who are living
in geographical isolation.

3. Is there anything pedagogically wrong with the traditional use of technology as a


presenter of knowledge like the teacher as a source of knowledge? Discuss and

We use various educational technological means and modes of education and


information in our personal and social life. Thus, they play a significant role in today’s
world. Teacher involvement is very important because it has made us visualize it from an
objective and realistic situation.The mechanism of learning has been viewed in terms of
its methods, techniques, modes, and strategies effective for teaching-learning process.

4. Why use technology in the class? Answer the question based on what you’ve
learned from this lesson. Present it in your own creative way.

The use of educational technology in education has definitely brought about an


improvement in teaching.In a traditional way, technology serves as source and
presenter of knowledge. It has made use of more flexible and variable methods and
techniques of teaching. The learners should be able to explore and learn more quickly
and impressively through the audio-visual setting. It also serves as tools to support
knowledge representing learners ideas, understanding and beliefs. And it also provide
and keeping the educational facts, data, and information in a more systematic way.
