instance 3 meters. The unit for distance/displacement in standard physics is the meter
(m).

o a = Δv/t (Δv is ‘change in velocity’ or vf-vi (final velocity minus initial velocity))
so a = (vf-vi)/t
o If distance is in meters (m) and time is in seconds (s), we get a unit of m/s2 for
acceleration (meters per second squared)

Discuss with dad why change in direction, not just change in speed, is considered
acceleration (discuss how you feel when you turn a corner fast in a car; use a graph to
