THE SECOND VIDEO REFERS TO THE TYPES OF SUPPLY CHAIN

TYPES OF SUPPLY CHAIN

DO YOU KNOW IS SUPPLY CHAIN?
A supply chain is a network between a company and its suppliers to produce
and distribute a specifie product, and the supply chain represents the steps
it takes to get the product or service to the customer.
Supply chain starts with supplier. Suppliers is the person who provide raw
materials to manufacture to produce a product. There after manufacture
convert those raw materials into finished goods. That is ready to use
product.
For example; plastic is raw material to manufacture a chair and chair is a finish
product.
Manufacture transfer the finish goods to distributor. Distributor transfer to whole
seller.
Whole seller transfers to retailer and finally retailer transfer the goods to customer,
this is supply chain.
Entities involved in supply chain; supplier, manufacture, distributor, whole seller,
retailer customer.
distribuidor a vendedor completo.
vendedor integral, cliente minorista.
TYPES OF SUPPLY CHAIN
The types of supply chain are; MTO, MTC Y CTO.
MTO: stands for maker to order
This is the supply chain in which manufacturing stars only after a customer´s
order is received, for example; an assembly process starts when demand
actually occurs.
This is also known as pull-type supply chain operation because manufacturing is
performed when demand is confirmed that is being pulled by demand.
 Suppose, I am a mobile manufacturing company; I start the manufacturing
process only after receiving the customer orders this is called make to order.
MTS: Make to stack
Is the supply chain where products are manufactured based on demand
forecasts since accuracy of the forecasts will prevent excess inventory and
opportunity lass due to stock out, the issue here is how to forecast demands
accurately.
For example; Retail Stores like big bazaar Vishal mega mart work son MTS
CTO is the combination of MTO and MTS
CTO; Stand for Customize to Order; For Example, you want to assemble your PC,
you want RAM of 10 GB internal. Memory of 1 TB and Monitor of specific
company.
A manufacturing company will have all stock ready that is make to stock. They will
assemble all the parts according, to your will, that is make to order. The supply
chain process will be known as customize to order.

MTO: significa fabricante a pedido
• Supongamos que soy una empresa de fabricación de dispositivos móviles;

THE FIRST VIDEO REFERS TO THE TYPES OF LOGISTICS

TYPES OF LOGISTICS
DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS LOGISTICS?
Logistics is the movement of goods from point of origin to point of
consumption.
After manufacturing of any product, all the activities that a company do to let
that product reach to its end consumer is called logistics.
For example; the chair on which I are sitting this chair got manufactured
somewhere after manufacturing it got stored somewhere and that is called ware
housing there after it got transported to retailer that is called transportation.
Retailer managed its inventory that is called inventory management. The we
placed order to buy the chair and retailer processed our order, this is called order
processing so all these activities warehousing transportation, inventory
management and order processing falls into logistics only.
The Types of Logistics Are: Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics and
Reverse Logistic.
Inbound Logistics: mean whenever we receive the products in our
warehouse is called inbound logistics and whenever, we send the products
to anywhere from our warehouse is called Outbound Logistics.
Reverse Logistic: is also known as RTO stands for return to origin.
Whenever we send products to our customer and due to any reason
customer denies to accept the product and return to or anything that comes
back to the company that is called reverse logistics.
For example: do you consume cold drink?
When we drink cold drink, after cold drink glass bottle got empty.
Those empty bottles are return to manufacturing unit again. This is called
Reverse Logistic

inversa
