Experience
Social E Fellowship, Stanford, CA – Team Member, June 2020 – December 2020
• Team selected for the fellowship after 20 weeks of Design for Extreme Affordability class
• Used human centered design to develop a system for tele orthodontics for cleft palate patients in Colombia partnered with the NGO Smile Train
• Worked closely with all involved parties to design a system that empowers the patients and caretakers and provides the necessary information
required by the orthodontists to perform medical diagnostics
• Designed wireframes for the web portal and application and designed and tested potential hardware solutions
• Hired and supervised a software contractor and design contractors to build working prototypes
Dandelion Chocolates, San Francisco, CA – Robotics Intern, June 2019 – August 2019 (Full time), Sept 2019 – Dec 2019 (Part time)
• Worked on various solo projects to automate the chocolate manufacturing process
• Programmed and modified a Dobot Magician robotic arm to complete various tasks on the manufacturing line
• Built a vision system that uses a webcam feed to track the position and orientation of chocolate bars as well as to classify their type
• Built an algorithm to quality check the position of the labels on the wrapped chocolate bars
Stanford Engineering Department, Stanford, CA – Course Assistant (CA), March 2019 - June 2019
• Assisted John Edmark with ME 101, Visual Thinking
• Helped organize and prepare lectures as well as prototyping workshops for 19 students
Stanford Housing, Stanford, CA - Resident Assistant (RA), September 2016 - June 2017
• Served a leadership role in promoting a healthy learning community in an undergraduate residence hall (Meier Hall)
• Helped oversee 150 residents and organized dorm weekend trip to Yosemite
NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, MD - Intern, June 2016 - August 2016
• Modeled Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in Matlab to be used as a proof of concept in talks for global GNSS collaboration
• Extracted position data from almanacs and converted information using navigation equations for each constellation
• Presented my work to NASA’s Space Communications and Navigation’s leadership
Space Rendezvous Laboratory, Stanford, CA - Research Assistant, June 2015 – August 2015
