Siblings often grow apart as they develop different interests and beliefs. In the story Big Sister by Consorcio Borje, Inciang cared for her little brother Itong after their mother's death, but as Itong explored on his own he became independent and changed. When they reunited, Inciang realized Itong was no longer the little brother she knew, but was growing into a passionate and independent man, showing that separation can change how people see each other.

These days siblings are stuck in each other’s world, they have different interests, ideas,

and beliefs in their minds as they grow, that’s what holding them back to bond with each other.
Big Sister by Consorcio Borje shows that Inciang is working hard and always paying attention to
her little brother Itong since their mother died, Inciang is always looking after him and now,
Itong is exploring and having different paths in his life, as he went to vigan many obstacles,
scenery, and phenomena had change his attitudes and beliefs in his life after he was separated to
his family and her beloved big sister. Inciang saw that her little brother is growing and starting to
become independent. After Itong went home, she realizes that she could not keep Itong forever
young and wishing that Itong will never change and be his lovely little brother forever . Itong
from a loveable little brother to Inciang became a passionate and independent man that she will
soon look up to. Consorcio Borje wants to show that separation with your love ones can change
the behavior of the person and everyone’s perspective in life.
