Personal Ethics Statement

Section 1: Introduction

Using my previous ethics analysis as a guide, I will be implementing thoughtful reasons for my
selection of principles. This in order to better formulate my professional conduct.
I will be basing my own codes, from my previous code analysis, as I believe that will benefit me
in what I want to find in a career in my future. Not only to make it easier for me, but I will
ensure that familiarizing myself with my interests will guide me to accomplishing professional
conduct in the chosen job I look for.
From all of the codes I write, I hope to remember what each entails, what to take into account
and remind myself these for ethical conduct. The codes follow in line with what I want to focus
on in the future with Computer & electrical engineering and robotics. Nonetheless, I will be
creating my own principles that relate to a position of an IT professional and I will try to make it
clear in my choices and reasons for my selection.

Section 2: 11 guiding principles

1. In all cases where it is asked for my assistance, I will serve customers and employees as
my duty is to help.
In a work environment, inclusivity is needed for team cooperation. It will build the
necessary bonds and trust that helps you succeed as a group. The connections and
relationships built, will determine how satisfied you will feel towards the job and in life
once you take into account co-worker relationships.
○ In a situation where I am hesitant or unsure of a possible solution, I will consult
with co-workers for reasonable input.
○ In a situation where the customer has valid information of danger, consult the
authorities for advice and act accordingly to remedy a situation to prevent any
mortality. Patiently waiting for responses of the customer and authorities in this
case will be effective.

2. Respect every individual in a work environment, in relation to all entities coexisting

adjacent to me.
This is in conjunction with the previous statement, to build honesty and integrity of
myself within the workplace, I will need to respect the choices of those around me.
○ In a case where a co-worker, myself, or a customer is being disrespected, a
reasonable solution would be to remove them from the situation and deter the
problem; follow through and address the problem with all employees to
acknowledge the situation and have proactive engagement doing so.
○ In any case of my interpersonal relationships disturbing workflow, I will be
honest and conduct myself responsibly with given tasks in a workplace rather than
obscure myself from an important task.
3. In any legal issue, I will consult with all employees for input and advice.
If I am not up to date with the rules of the company, state or codes, it is important that I
ask for advice and gain that knowledge accordingly. This means I will not pretend to be
ignorant of the rules.
○ Do not misuse advice for mal intentions where a loophole can be formulated,
following this is crucial for transparency.
4. I will keep up to date and abide by all codes, regulations, laws, in every manner
necessary.
Self explanatory reason, you should know the rules before acting upon a situation in a
professional setting.
5. Consider the outcomes of every technology a customer is being served with.
In order for customer reliance on a product, I must ensure that it functions as it should
when it is produced. Knowingly taking the responsibility that, if it doesn’t, will provide
reasonable evidence of improving the product.
○ In any case where a product was troubleshooted, tested, inspected for impurities
and the product results in a malfunction; continue to look for solutions for the
problem and recall the product if necessary.
○ Make sure that the technologies are accessible to all customers' needs.
6. I will need to focus on set tasks that are asked of me.

To avoid any hindrance in work flow in the workplace, as a healthy work environment is
necessary for accomplishing tasks, I ensure that being lazy or selfish would effectively
hinder my performance.
○ Take matters into your own hands, you will not wait for assistance from co-
workers if you simply feel lazy or selfish.
7. In reason of doubt for opinion, I will not hesitate to include myself in a conversation
where it is needed to point out unhealthy bias.
To interpret a conversation, each conversation should be healthy and reasonable. Seeing
both sides of viewpoints and drawing out the bias that may be formulated can insure a
healthier alternative.
○ In contrast to addressing bias, I will not have biased reports, data, or malpractice
of knowledge.
○ Acknowledging and addressing discrimination and prejudice where it is necessary
to exclude those practices, should be proactively adverting these issues, and
instead, work towards inclusiveness.
8. Represent myself with competence, integrity and honesty.
This can be simply the image of your work’s reputation at stake when you are acting
unprofessional. On a site where customers can send a review, comment or simply send
you an email regarding a product, it is highly important to keep a composure of
professionalism.
○ In a public forum, where I portray my image irresponsibly to the credit of the
company’s image, it will be inciting unprofessional conduct.
9. I will not share personal information and bias to customers that unreasonably ask for such
information.
Confidential information is crucial to determine someone's identity in terms of product
management and company competitiveness. Ensuring that information within the
company and my personal information is not needed for customer to worker interactions.
○ In case of any malpractice or malicious intent, I will contact authorities and
employees for course of action.

10. I will continue to learn from all experiences that would make up a better version of
myself, in search of knowledge that improves my workflow, continue to aid others and be
aided for improvement.
From all of the previous stated principles, this ensures that I will be improving myself in
order to keep up to date with everything that is required to work efficiently in my
workplace and to ultimately conduct myself professionally.
11. I will adhere to all of the above.
Any violation of any code, in any leading consequence of unprofessional conduct that is
severely harmful to the work environment, I will demand a temporary termination of my
work position until fully determined by my works company legal team or committee.
○ For context, I will take remedial actions in the face of law to avoid any legal
battle. If you conduct unprofessional in regards to these codes, you will
inadvertently propose to yourself a temporary termination of your job position.
Taking remedial actions will restore ex. outcome until fixed.
○ I will compensate my time for the liability of my actions by taking myself away
from the problem, until further notice from the company.
This code is to ensure that I will remove myself from the workplace if I become a
distraction of workflow or company policy. So that in order for something to be fixed of
the ex. severity, I will need to compensate for lost time through means of extra labor.
Section 3: Conclusion

Gathering the necessary information on completing my personal ethics statement, each fulfilling
my own professional duty in accomplishing ethical conduct of serving potential customers.
Focus and duty were heavy themes that I take into account in proposing professional conduct. In
reason for any uncertainty of professional conduct, I will act accordingly to my own promise of
my personal statement. So in relation to my personal statement, I will act ethically to improve
my own workflow in benefit of my work and environment. If all followed successfully, I will
also be compliant with laws and regulations therefore, I am ultimately responsible and liable for
my own actions.
