APPAREL INDUSTRY' S

PESTEL ANALYSIS

POLITICAL ANALYSIS

The reservation of production for small companies that were

imposed to help out small scale companies across the country
led to substantial fragmentation that distorted the industry's
competitiveness. The Indian government needs to introduce
measures such as the national technology up-gradation fund
and removing the differential taxation scheme.

ECONOMICAL ANALYSIS -

Economic constituents such as per capita income, national

income, resources mobilization, and exploitation of natural
resources, infrastructure development, capital production,
employment creation, and industrial development influence
the textile industry.

SOCIAL ANALYSIS -

Managers and policymakers cannot disregard social variables

like education, knowledge, rural community norms, and beliefs
predominant in India, especially in the agrarian society. At the
same time, cultural differences are unthinkable for any
international manager or even an urban Indian manager.Social
stratification plays a vital role in agrarian societies.

TECHNOLOGICAL ANALYSIS -
At present, the apparel industry is experiencing a substantial re-
orientation towards other than clothing segments of the textile
sector, commonly called technical textiles. It moves vertically
with an average growth rate of nearly two fabrics for clothing
applications and now estimates more than half of the total
textile output

ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS -
Environment protection and preservation is the
responsibility of the apparel industry. The
Government of India is bound to the preservation of
environmental balance. Pollution-free technology
and recycling of industrial wastes and effluents have
become a corporate interest now.

LEGAL ANALYSIS -
The legal factor plays a crucial role in the apparel industry. Acts
relating to technical licensing, factory management, industrial
disputes, monopoly control, and foreign exchange regulation
are examples of India's legal business environment. The textile
industry has suffered from standard rules as unfavorable labor
laws.
