Political and legal: The main political parties in the country are the social democratic party and

the moderate party. Swedish citizens enjoy considerable political rights. The politics of Sweden
takes place in a parliamentary representative democratic constitutional monarchy.Executive
power is exercised by the government and led by the prime minister of the country. Legislative
power is vested in both parliament and government. Sweden is formally a monarch where the
King holds symbolic power.

Economic : Sweden's GNP is one of the highest in the world. Almost one third of swedish
economy is dependent on its export.Sweden is highly dependent on its free trade to maintain its
living standard. GDP in the year 2019 was 530.884 billion (Sweden GDP | 1960-2019 Data |

to 3.8 %. On the contrary, gdp of Bangladesh is at around 286 Billion USD.GNI per capita is at
54,226. (Sweden GNI per capita, 1970-2020 - knoema.com). The exchange rate of Sweden to
Bangladesh is 1 swedish krona is equivalent to 10.01 taka (Exchange rate Krona (Sweden) to
Taka (Bangladesh) — SEK to BDT). inflation rate of bangladesh is 5.59 % whilst inflation rate of

Swedish people are deeply rooted with their family and friend circle.Most of their festivals
revolve around religion and are about loved ones coming close to one another. The cuisine of
Southern Sweden is different from the cuisine of Northern Sweden. People from southern
Sweden like to eat fresh vegetables whilst people from the northern region like to eat reindeer
meat. Swedish people are extremely soft spoken and very good listeners. (Commision global

tells that Swedish people prefer being independent, equal rights superiors are much more
accessible. Communication is participative and direct. Control is disliked and attitude towards
managers is on a first name basis. Sweden is an individualistic society, it has a score of 71.
People prefer taking care of themselves and their immediate family members. Relationship
between employee/employer is on a contract based. Hiring process solely depends on
merits.Sweden is a feminine country and scores 5 on this index. They focus more on work/life
balance. Managers are very supportive of their subordinate, decision making is very
participative. Uncertainty avoidance index means the extent to which people feel threatened by
a situation. Sweden has a score of 29, which is a low score. Low UAI societies prefer practise
over principles, and deviance from the norm is more easily tolerable. People believe
unnecessary rules should be removed. Indulgence is the extent to which people try to control
their desires and impulses. Relatively weak control is called Indulgence and high control is
called restrained. Sweden has a score of 78 which means its culture is very indulgent. They are
much more optimistic towards life. They spend huge importance on their leisure time. (hofstede

The population of Sweden is likely to grow to 10,325,000. Migration increases by around


30,000 every year. Median age for the country in the year 2019 was 41.3 years.

The Market

Trade relations between Bangladesh and Sweden are improving significantly. In the
year 2019, Bangladesh imported around 90,606 USD from Sweden. And Bangladesh
exported around 459,746 USD. Bangladesh and Sweden also made commitments to
solve problems related to climate change,reduction of greenhouse emission, renewable
energy. Sweden already has a strong position to save the planet, Sweden is very much

Sweden targets to achieve 100% renewable energy generation and no emission of


greenhouse gas in the country by the year 2045 which means there is huge scope in
