Social Studies - Chapter 12, Lesson 2 Questions - 05.11.2021

Diocletian's reforms were unsuccessful because people ignored the new rules and Diocletian lacked the strength to enforce them. Two key problems that led to Rome's decline were increased violence from mistreating Germanic tribes and inflation caused by producing too many coins. The division of the Roman Empire into eastern and western halves made it easier for invaders to attack because there were multiple entry points and the empires were not well governed.
