NAJWA SHIHAB, S.H.

Najwa shihab commonly called Nana is a television news anchor and reporter, achievers and
professionals. Nana was born in Makassar, south Sulawesi, 16 September, 1977. Najwa is the
second daughter of Quraish Shihab, a former Minister of religious affairs in the era of the
seventh development cabinet. At the 20 years old, Nana was young married with Ibrahim
assegaf, and she already had a boy called izzat (6 years old). Najwa Shihab attended starting
from school of al-Qur`an in kindergarden, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Hidayah in elementary
school, then a junior high school and senior high school in Al-Ikhlas, Kaffir lime, south Jakarta.
And then, proceeded to the faculty of law of the University of Indonesia, completed in 2000.

Najwa shihab is an alumni of university Indonesia. She had been an exchange student in the
American high school. Initially, najwa shihab pioneering career RCTI and then she moved to
Metro TV that is able to embody the spirit of journalism thinks she has. In Metro TV she initial
pioneering career as a news anchor and then she brought a talk show program that mata najwa
that is now very well known.

Najwa Shihab many achievements. In 2006 she was the best journlists Metro TV. Not only that,
the same year she was also nominated as best news reader in the event Panasonic award. Najwa
shihab started since she won the award as the best report in the tsunami in Aceh by PMI center.
In addition, najwa shihab also been in good forrtune as participants of the seminar senior
Jurnalists in several cities in the United States even she was also elected as a speaker at the
convention Asian American journalists associations.

Najwa shihab most impressed on the mind of the reader probably is himself elected as a guide
debate DKI local elections. Not only that, were several achievement such as Najwa Shihab
nominated for best Asia level current affairs or talk shows, Asian television award and others.
