Highlights:

 In charge and responsible for setting up the dietary department of the hospital
 Take authentic rounds of patient’s in order to individually plan balanced, healthy and
nutritious diet as per patient’s gender, age, medical condition, diagnosis, nutritional needs,
cultural background and acceptability.
 Perform nutritional assessment & reassessments of in -patient’s dietary needs &
establishment of requirements as per NABH.
 Work closely with physicians to determine specific nutritional needs based on health
factors, biochemical parameters and medication
 Evaluate and improve treatments
 Write reports and case notes and maintain accurate records
 Educate and advise patients with diet related disorders and need for alteration in current
diets on the practical ways on how diet can optimize & improve their health, performance
and recovery by adopting healthier eating habits
 Co-ordinate with the F&B department to ensure that meals served to the patients are
according to their specific diet plan and requirements.
 Educate other health care professionals by facilitating group nutrition classes and activities
 Motivate and encourage patients and caregivers to follow recommended food guidelines to
make dietary and lifestyle changes
 Assess and council patients regarding their specific medical nutritional needs at the time /
before discharge and also Council Out patients who comes for health checkups
 Serve as a nutrition resource to departmental and health care staff to enhance nutritional services.
 In-house training to fresh graduates and interns in nutrition and dietetics
 Planning and execution of the health check camps organized by the hospital at various
location across the city

 Organize nutrition seminars and webinars.
