Wind Load Analysis NSCP 2015

This document outlines the 7 steps to perform a wind load analysis according to the NSCP 2015, 7th Edition: 1. Determine the building occupancy category and basic wind speed. 2. Determine wind load parameters like directionality factor, exposure category, topographic factor, gust effect factor, and enclosure classification. 3. Determine the velocity pressure exposure coefficient and velocity pressure. 4. Determine the external pressure coefficient by referring to figures based on the building type. 5. Calculate the wind pressure for each building surface using the appropriate equation for rigid, flexible, or open buildings.
