Directions: Choose at least (3) items to answer based on the given questions below.

1. Aside from communication, what other aspects of society is/are being influenced in the Information
Age? (5 points)
2. How would you reconcile the emerging needs of human beings regarding their health and the need to
protect the growth of biodiversity? (5points)

Support local farms used. Establish small, local farms that use polyculture and permaculture practices
that promote diversity, quantity and quality. Reduce the need for travel and thus reduce carbon emissions.
Increases food security. It promotes biodiversity.

Eat at certain times of the year. Increase food intake by seasonal, traditional foods. The mass production of
maize, wheat, beans, and rice industries has a devastating effect on animal ecosystems worldwide. Other
additions with traditional, non-gmo characters, grown in small co-ops, are made locally and between a variety
of plants. Imagine 50 'wide-sized seedlings planted in a row, planted between 50' wide groups of fruit and nut
trees, surrounded by cover crops that feed livestock on a club that contains a portable electric fence.

Grow meat on the grass. Replace farm animals with controlled, tightly controlled livestock. Studies have
already shown that these processes increase biodiversity in the area. Reduce the hectares of grain needed for
livestock. Process the meat at local slaughterhouses for use in the region.

Create agricultural pods in areas close to large human settlements. This could include hydroponic farming in
abandoned factories, intensive farming in uninhabited areas, planting fruit trees in parks, etc.

Zone land used for food production that promotes biodiversity as agricultural protection zones.

3. How would you reconcile the advantages and disadvantages that GMOs bring to humans? (5points)
4. What are the factors that need to be considered before manufacturing materials through
nanotechnology? (5points)
Factors that we need to consider:
 First thing we need to consider is the concept. The concept of nanotechnology is whole new so we
need to understand this topic first.
 The Second factor is materials. Though it is a new concept so it is obvious that materials are also
new.
 Risk of manufacturing these materials. We need to focus on every risk that happens by making
these materials.
 Another factor is cost. Making this type of nanoparticle takes both time and money.
 Another factor is the risk-on environment, health, and safety of people.

5. Would you subject yourself for gene therapy without its 100% assurance of effectiveness or future
negative side effects?Justify your answer. (5points)
6. What significant contribution can individuals make in response to climate change? (5points)
All climate change is only happening because of us, our activities caused this big problem, and to solve
this big problem we need to awaken now. To reduce climate change is not only the work of government
and some other organization every signal individual needs to participate to solve this massive problem.
Things that we can do:
1. Reduce usage of vehicles. In today’s time, we are using vehicles for every short travel. We can use
bicycles for short paths, we can use public transport so more people can travel with the same amount
of petrol. Low usage of the vehicle can cause a decrease in the use of fossil fuels and it causes a
decrease in climate change.
2. More plantation program. Tress are lungs of over earth and to cure the disease of earth we need to
cure lungs first. More plantations healthier earth. Less deforestation also creates a more healthy earth.
3. The Last thing is the need to stop increasingly intensive agriculture because it emits more
greenhouse gases and these gases are one of the major causes of climate change.
