Time : Three Hours] [Maximum Marks : 75

Note : Attempt five questions out of eight questions, selecting at

least one question from each unit. All questions carry
equal marks. Use of scientific calculator is permitted.

UNIT–I

1. A 150 seated jet aircraft with the following given data is

flying at 10 km altitude.
Mcruise = 0.75 Mach Mloiter = 0.5 Mach Cruise = 3000 km
Loiter = 80 minutes
(L/D)max = 16 Ccruise = 14.1 mg/(Ns) CLoiter = 11.3 mg/(Ns)
p = 0.413 kg/m3
p = 26000 N/m2 We/W0 = 0.92 W0–0.06 WPayload = 500 kg
WPassenger = 65 kg/passenger WLuggage = 20 kg/passenger
