The guest speakers of this event, they shared about their experiences, advices, and tips in
working in a BPO Industry. The BPO Industry in the Philippines has been at the top of the Asia
Pacific Region along with China and India for a few years now. Even with the extensive
transformations and adaptations in various jobs and industries, BPO’s still land among the top
spots of all the economic sectors in the country. BPO Industry in the Philippines have multiplied
over the years-providing many opportunities. The great thing is that these opportunities aren’t
just traps or jobs with nowhere to go. Job in BPO companies is some of the most transformative
and career building. There are many reasons why a job in a BPO industry is great head start for
your career because of job security, financial stability, competitive compensation, career growth
opportunities, access to best practices, multicultural workspace, and impressive benefits. Here
are some advices given by the speakers regarding in working in a BPO industry, you must follow
the instructions, work hard, seize opportunities, be professional, integrity and have initiative.
They also gave advices when you are planning to resigned or leave your job, you should inform
your company regarding on that matter be professional and avoid ghosting and do not burn
bridges so that when you leave your company, you have a good reputation.
Learnings:
What I learned from the speakers of this event is that working in a BPO industry will
teach you a valuable lesson like how to hone your communication skills, gain knowledge about
your work, you become more sociable and build relationship with people from all walks of life.
It made me realize that there are many great reasons to work in a BPO industry, but it’s a
profession that requires a tremendous amount of patience since you don’t have any right to get
angry at your customers. It will help you to control your emotions and not to take all things
personally.

online is referred as e-commerce and its use of the internet, well sell more products, increase
revenue, and shape the future of production for businesses. It is also changing how the
government regulates online commerce. E-commerce is progressively becoming the way that
many people shop and changing the way businesses operate, ultimately changing the world of
business. Then business transactions occur either as business to consumer (B2C), business to
business (B2B), Business to Government (B2G), Consumer to Business/Government
(C2B/C2G), Consumer to Consumer (C2C), Government to Consumer (G2C), Government to
Government (G2G), Government to Business & Professionals (G2B/G2P), Professionals to
Government (P2G) and Professionals to Consumers (P2C). She also discusses about context of
social media and the beneficial used of it, online marketing flow, framework of digitalization,
digital business strategies, personal leadership development, digital marketing campaign, brand
awareness and building of trust in consumers.
Learnings:
I learned from the webinar that E-commerce offers an important platform for advertising
and marketing product which can be an effective way of introducing new products to customers
and also websites offer businesses an opportunity to communicate with customers over the
internet. I think E-commerce will become an essential business plan for most businesses in order
to survive and stay competitive in the ever-changing market. In addition, the appearance of E-
commerce as a pioneer has opened up windows of opportunities for a variety offer companies
and investors.
