The Breach opens at the bottom of the Paci c Ocean, allowing inter-
dimensional travel and alien monsters called Kaiju, emerge

August 1
San Francisco experiences a 7.1 earthquake, the next day it is
attacked by the Kaiju, Trespasser

August 1
Trespasser moves inland

August 1
Trespasser is killed by 3 nuclear missiles in Oakland

2014
February
A second Kaiju appears, codenamed Hundan and attacks Manila in
the Philippines. Three days later it is killed

February
The Kaiju Emergency Alert System is established

June
A third Kaiju, Kaiceph, emerges from the Breach and attacks Cabo
San Lucas, Mexico

June
Kaiceph is killed

PPDC is nothing mothballed, and the Jaeger Program
decommissioned from active combat

Mutavore, a Category IV Kaiju, breaks through the Anit-Kaiju Wall

The Anti-Kaiju Wall is proven ineffective, and the PPDC quickly


reorganizes to counter new Kaiju attacks

Double Event, 2 Category IV Kaiju emerge, Leatherback and Otachi

Triple Event, 3 Category IV Kaiju emerge, Scunner, Raiju, and
